First of all, the mush-melonheads should thank their lucky stars that Bobo was on the committee. I'm sure that he voted for them to be in and could have been the swing vote.

Now that they are in, if they don't beat BeelzeBob, they don't have a hair on their sorry a$$es. We took care of that Bloated Coiffed Dome last year and it is up to the Cryers to actually grow a sack and show them the door this year.

That being said, I don't have enough confidence to put any jack on them.

If Dayton brings their girls team like they did the last time in the tourney they will get clobbered. I get the feeling UD will play scared since it is unfamiliar territory for them.

Not trying to pile on UD, but experience is huge in the NCAA Tournament, and no one on their team has ever been to the dance before. This is old hat for WVU -- Sweet Sixteen last year, consecutive Elite Eights the years before. They'll know how to handle themselves.

The Flyers might be a little starry-eyed with the bright CBS lights and having a big game NOT at UD Arena. Then again, maybe the Flyers have a run in them.

This is the tournament, where anybody can beat anybody. Dayton can play excellent defense. Their problem is shooting. WVA should win, but I wouldn't dismiss Rudy too quickly.

All of that being said, I don't care who wins this game.

If London Warren keeps the ball on the court and Perry, Johnson, and Fabrizius continue their improved shooting of late, Dayton can win.

I think the FLyers had a tendency to lull themselves to sleep. I saw it at SLU, against Fordham, and against Duquesne last weekend. They had a "going though the motions" look. Against Duquesne they looked like they were already practicing for the NCAA opponent. That won't be the case against WVU. They'll bring it.

It should be an ugly, physical, defensive battle with the score in the mid 60s at most. Dayton can win that game. If WVU gets hot and the score hits 70 or above, they probably can't win.

Bobo said on WLW tonight that he was not allowed to vote on anyone from the A10, and could not advocate on their behalf. He was only able to answer factual questions about them from other members.

But I'm sure it didn't hurt having him on the committee.

15%? I actually could see UD winning though. Huggins has had his share of misfortunes in the tourney, and the pressure will be squarely on WVU.

West Virginia is a really tough draw. They have a Pomeroy rating of #8 in the country (FSU, in comparison, as a rating of #35).

That guy's nuts. He has a mohawk, for crying out loud.

Dayton can beat WVU, but they aren't winning in round 2 without Kansas shitting the bed. I would be shocked if we kept it within 10 of Kansas.

What is the situation with some of the injuries the Flyers had?

IMO, UD's chances are slim-to-none, and slim left the proverbial town.

Ud will poop the bed. Bobby has a staunch history of losing in the second round, and he will do so this year as well. North Dakota St. will be this year's tournament darling as they beat Kansas in the first round and give Bobby his customary second round defeat.

ud is an awful road team. In fact, if they didn't pad their home schedule each year with cupcake games they would struggle to win 18 games. I think that WVA will play solidly. ud cannot score except for dunks in defensive transition.

WVA wins this thing rather handily.

Per Vegas, UD has about the same chance as Portland St:

XU -10.5
WVU -8.5

UH....there are other ways to slam us, like "U dump hasn't won a game in the tourny in 20 years" or "Jimmy Carter!!!!" other then saying we are a bad road team, when last I checked, the NCAA is all played on neutral floors, where we have actually done fairly decent, especially this year.

A nice backhanded compliment to ud (from J. Whitlock):

http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/9350268/Here-are-10-picks-you-can-book

"7. Dayton plus 8.5 vs. WVU: I like the Flyers. They remind me of the Ball State teams of my youth — deep, athletic and plenty of swagger. Dayton spanked Big East heavyweight Marquette in November, so the Flyers will have plenty of confidence. And the thing that makes 5 vs. 12 and 6 vs. 11 matchups so predictably unpredictable is that the lower seeds approach the first weekend like it's the Final Four and the BCS schools approach them like business trips. A trip to the Sweet Sixteen is equivalent to a national championship to Dayton. West Virginia 77-75."

Which begs the question, would a ud fan rather win two tournament games or a game AT Xavier? I would guess the latter, though the wouldn't admit it.

And if a team scores more than 70 in their game I will be shocked. Take the under.

Cryers played a good game. Congrats to them! Had to admit....didn't want to root for them....but between Chugs and them.....I gave in.

Now for X! Go team!

Wouldn't it be great to meet the cryers again..... in the tournament!? It would be fun to lay a major whoop-a$$ on them..... in front of the whole world.... on live tv!!

That would be the Nat'l Champ Game. An A10 Nat'l title game would be ridiculously awesome; pile on by whupping the Criers for the title!

I am happy for Dayton and glad they whacked a big east team. Living here in Cincinnati and also watching ESPN you would think the big east teams could compete in the NBA. I frankly am tired of the pumping of that overrated conference. I will bet you not a single team from the big east makes the final 4.

The dump's program gets NCAA victory number 1 in close to twenty years!! About freaking time they help our conference gain an ounce of respect.

The ud cinderella season come crashing down when Kansas takes the floor.

I have to agree with j on this one, the Big East is overrated in basketball like they are in football. I won't go as far to say they won't get one team into the final 4. Loovull seems to have the best chance so I will say they get one in.

I'm not sure I'd be surprised if UD won again Sunday; they've gotten one ghost out of the way and Kansas isn't the same experienced team they were last year.
