View Full Version : Wall Street Journal Asks - "Is your BB coach worth a million dollars?"

Today's WSJ has an article about DI men's coaches making a million, or more each year. They ascribe a worth based on increased RPI Ratings over a three year period versus the base contract amount using something called an Elite Value Score. In the paper version, these were listed in order of highest to lowest Elite Value Scores.

Anyway, on the heels of the whole Jim Calhoun situation and the constant coaching carousel, I found this interesting. Hopefully each of you will too. As can be seen, Coach Beaknose is near the bottom of the value chart and Oliver Purnell, former ud and current Clemson loser heads the list of value. Way to go Ollie!! The online version of the list is a bit clumsier, but if you look you'll see that what I mentioned about Beaker and Ollie is substantiated.

Click on the Elite Value Score box atop the list and choose Ascending Order.

Who reads the Wall Street Journal? Does the utlra influential Jim Cramer have a take on this? Ya know, John Q Public just can't think for himself.
