Clemson is down 12 to GTech with 5 minutes to go. They are currently slated for a 4 seed by Lunardi, a loss could help us swap spots with them,
Oliver is great a collapsing down the stretch.

he really is the best at that. nobody else has been in the same league as him the past few years. honestly, i'm surprised he was able to keep things together as long as he did this year. it seems like he usually starts the collapse early in the ACC schedule, but he hung tough for a while this season.

Tech up 4 with 12 seconds left. Tech is at the line. If only they could make free throws...

Virginia Tech playing UNC on ESPN2 in about 20 minutes. With a 7-9 record in conference, I think this is a must win if VA Tech is to make the dance. They are probably in if they win, but I'll be surprised if they can do it.

Lawson is supposedly out so VT has a chance.

I forgot about hearing that. Hmmm.. That might mean they'll have to win yet another game. The committee might not give a win full credit.

Disagree with you on everything you have said thus far Waggy. I think VT has a chance to get in even with a loss. And I think Lawson not playing will bare no consequence on the selection committee's decision.

I disagree with half of what you said.
Win and they're in. Lose and they're out.

Go Hokies, this is a great game. Does anybody know if the RPI is updated throughout conference tourneys and if so is this update used by the selection committee?

The committee does not use the RPI in making there decision...I know then why have this if they don't use. But that is what I read and heard recently...

The committee people always say that they look at RPI like they look at other things. The ratings for the last 10 games seems to be more important than the overall ranking.
