Duquesne 37-35 over Rhode Island at half. I've been impressed with Duquesne so far in the tourney. Good game - both teams shoot 50% from the field in the 1st half.

If Duquesne wins, I see Dayton making it to the championship game. UD owns them. If URI wins, I think the Rams will be representing the lower bracket.
67-61 Duquesne. Didn't get the time...I think 7 minutes or so.

I'd like to see Duquesne win this one, but I think the veteran Rhody team pulls this one out of the fire against the young Dukes.

I'd really like to see the Dukes pull it off also; however, I don't think I can take Baron making a "NIT or Nothing speech after the game":D
The Dukes win. I just heard a bubble burst.

Duquesne upsets Rhode Island, which now has had its bubble busted. More than likely they go to the NIT now.

Announcer said Duquesne hasn't been to the A10 tourney semis since 1994. They played really well.
URI could win the NIT. I'd like to see it for them.

There goes Rhode Island and the Coach of the Year Jim Baron...
Everhart should have won COY.
Miller was more deserving than Baron too.

If we take care of business we'll get a shot at the Dukes, Flyers or Spiders and we owe all of them a little payback.

So how many here will be rooting for Richmond in the nightcap?
I would be either way, but if X makes the finals, either Richmond or Duquesne would be playing 4 in 4.

I'll be shocked if UD doesn't get a bid even if the lose tonight.

Seriously? 25 wins, #23 in the RPI? Sometimes the Dayton hatred clouds some vision. They are a lock, and that's not premature. Even if they lose tonight, they're a 10 seed at worst.

Our D wasn't that great, but we were playing on short rest and at their place. I don't think most guys like shooting at this place, it's not a basketball arena and the sightlines are diff.

42-35 Dayton
Richmond had gotten to within 1, but then they continued taking terrible shots, which allowed UD rebounds and layup lines out in transition.
Richmond is doing exactly what you're not supposed to do against Dayton, which is keep them away from a halfcourt game.
Really, I see Dayton going to the championship game. Richmond has no idea what they're doing, and Dayton matches up pretty well with Duquesne.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that every team A-10 team that beat X went on to lose their next game. ud lost to URI (?), Dookane and Charlotte both lost to Richmond and now Richmond lost ot ud. Well, at least when X loses, they seem to sap everything out of the other team.

They went and lost to Depaul in Gregory's first year(2004). This will be their second appearance in Gregory's sixth season. This follows two appearances during Purnell's eight seasons(with zero wins). Dayton's only other recent apppearance was a second round showing with O'Brien in 1990.
