I didn't pick Oklahoma but I can see why they should get a #1 slot.

I did not pick Louisville because they got to play UConn and Pitt at home and did not have to play either at their places.
Their out of conference wins and losses were pretty bad too losing to both Minnesota and UNLV.

3 are mortal locks. Pitt, UConn, and UNC will absolutely not get anything less than 1 seeds, regardless of what any of them do in their respective tournaments.

The last is up in the air. Supposing that they were to win their respective conference tournaments I would put them in the following order:

OU > Louisville > Michigan State > Memphis.

[i.e. If louisville wins the big east they get it, unless OU ALSO wins. And so on]

If none of those 4 happen to win their respective conference championships [And that seems doubtful. Who the hell's going to beat Memphis?], then I think it will fall to OU by default. I can't think of a 5th team that would deserve it over them. Even Duke seems too far behind, even with extra wins over Wake and UNC in the ACC-T.

If Oklahoma get a number one seed, they'll be the first one number one bounced. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make the Sweet 16.

Fixed it for ya. Oklahoma is legit with a healthy blake griffin. Not as good as UCONN, Pitt, or UNC, but still very good.

Louisville is better than Oklahoma. They, you know, won the conference that UConn and Pitt play in.

Thanks Digger Phelps.

Now you seriously are convinced beyond a doubt that Louisville is better than Oklahoma? Excellent.

If I remember correctly, you're the one who likes arbitrary numbers a lot.

Okla RPI - 5
Lousiville RPI - 9

Louisvile also absolutely pounded Oklahoma in the Tournament last year. Different teams, obviously, but a lot of the same pieces on both sides.

I guess it's just the "eye test" with me and Louisville. They have a lot of very good players but it doesn't really seem to add up how it should. The only greatly impressive win they had this year was Pitt. UCONN absolutely dominated them at Louisville, and I won't even mention what happened at South Bend. Louisville did a great job of beating the mediocre-decent teams in the Big East, which is what good teams do. However, I think they're far from elite.

I really hope Louisville wins the big east tourney and gets a 1 because I want them on our side of the bracket if we get a 4.

Again, I don't think Oklahoma is a world beater either, but I put them a notch above Louisville. And Oklahoma added a guy who has a small amount of basketball skill in Willie Warren.
