I guess the Charlotte Observer made the right call.

SAint joes plays temple tommorow in a big 5 rematch

So, temple or saint joe Friday?

St. Joe's. We can't seem to beat Temple in the A10 tourney, and St. Joe's isn't very deep and would be playing its 3rd game in 3 days.

St Joe's. They play like 2.5 players and they will be playing their 3rd game in 3 days.

One observation about the Observer's move. I think it more than ever heralds the departure of the 4ers from A10. Before you say good riddance, Charlotte is one of the larger TV markets in the nation and has one of the larger arenas in the conference. I know they're starting football, but I think they'd be a loss.:D

The Charlotte they used to be would be a loss. The Charlotte they've been in the A-10 would be no loss.

I do NOT want to play Temple in the semi-finals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

I welcome any matchup in any round EXCEPT that one.

No, No, No.

I would definitely rather play St Joe's than Temple, but I don't think Temple poses the same threat as URI or Dayton. Temple plays a half court style, similar to us - a style which we have shown we can beat, perhaps even dominate. Dayton, while not talented, plays an uncomfortable style. URI has the most talent and athleticism of the three.

It'll be fun to watch a Big 5 game as the second game of the afternoon doubleheader.

I'd rather face St. Joe's then risk a 30-something point Christmas performance leading a Temple upset

I'd personally like to see them play Temple. While it would be a fight, I think that winning over the owls would give them a boost in confidence. The Hawks didn't give the Muskies that good of a game at their place. Why would we expect this to be any better.

Even if Temple was 0-30 and playing like five Snipes, I would not want to face them in the A-10 Tourney, especially the semis. Check the record books. Temple University Albatrosses.

I want Temple and I want Dayton, so we can pick up a couple more quality wins.

I'm trying to get a visual on what a team with 5 Snuggie and laurel wreath wearing Snipe clones would look like!!

ETA: Here's hoping Temple and St. Joe have a nice, physically demanding, tooth and nail, all out war, game with at least 2 overtime periods.

Shamwowls up 14 in first half. Ugh. X is 0-4 against TU in the A-10 tournament.

Ugh

Hawks 28
Owls 43 at the half

The Hawk must not be flapping his wings hard enough!!!!!

43-28 at the half. Nivens is playing well with 12 points and 7 boards and the Hawks have managed to keep Dionte Christmas to 2 points, but the Owls have two players in double figures and are 6-13 from behind the arc. Oh boy.

This is my thinking as well. X needs a 4 seed, and if they win out and some other things go right, I could see a 3 seed.

Plus, we owe Temple a loss in the A-10 tourney.

If Rhode Island beats Dayton, I'm fine with that as well. They're a good team and either Dayton or URI would give us a decent win.

Temple has a lot of pretty good players. They might be the only team in the conference who can even come close to matching us depth-wise.

These hours of waiting before the selection show allow the opportunity to highlight my prescience.
