From what I have seen it looks like the A-10 is going to be very very strong next year. Although I have heard that before but I think next year the A-10 might get into that 7th or even 6th ranked conferences. Xavier as always will be strong, Dayton, Duquesne, Richmond, St joes. ST Louis are all going to have good teams. Temple is always good for a top 100 RPI. Even La Salle has gotten better. I think next year the A-10 could have at least 8 teams in the top 100 RPI.
I don't know who St. Joe's had coming in next year, but they lose their best player after this year and their team isn't very deep. I think it might be a down year on hawk hill next year.

Well there are certain teams that I just expect to be good. I always looked at ST. Joes as one of those teams as well as Temple. They might not be NCAA good but they will still put a team on the court that will win at least 17 games.

When X first joined the league, the A-10 was a league that was getting 4-5 bids per year. Umass and Temple were, at times, national championship contenders. The A-10 is now a league where the league gets, at best, 3 bids, and at times gets only one. And Xavier is the only team which has gotten any national spotlight the last few years.

Hawk fans that I know are very worried about next season. They do not feel like their guards have gotten better and their bench is non existant. Add those with the biggest factor, No Nivens and it could be a very tough year. They are looking to getting back on campus and getting their home court back.

I would another to the list of improving teams: St. Bonaventure
Hear me out...the did finish 11th in the conference, but they are taking small steps in the right direction. They finished the regular season over .500 (15-14) and are playing a very winnable first round game against Richmond. They are a very young team, only graduating 3 seniors (1 of which rarely plays and another that averages 14 minutes) and they have a pretty good shooting guard coming in.
We have bitched and moaned about Bona being allowed to be in the conference, but it looks like they have taken steps in the right direction and will continue to get better. They won't be at the top of the conference any time soon, but they have a little bit of potential to be middle of the pack and have a good record out of conference against mediocre opponents.

That's not much of a stretch. There are 3 teams in the Top 40 RPI this year, 4 in the Top 65 and 6 in the Top 100. LaSuck is 109 with St. Louis and Richmond at 130 and 131 respectively.
Richmond and Dookcane, probably better, St. Louis probably worse. GW is now a joke. Fordham will suck, because that is their mode. UMess, Temple, Rhodee, St. Joes, udump and Charlotte need to always be good to be the bilge water supporting the flagship.
Olean Welding and LaSuck? Who cares?
