Coming back for a second year, it's time to warm up for those NCAA brackets by doing the same thing on a smaller scale. Last year, XU '11 won with a score of 27/28. Will he defend his title?
Here's the bracket:
http://atlantic10.cstv.com/auto_pdf/p_hotos/s_chools/atl10/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/bracketmar7
Scoring:
1 point per first round game
2 points per quarter final
4 points per semi final
8 points for champion
Tiebreaker: Who will be the tournaments leading scorer?
Tiebreaker 2: Who will be the tournaments leading rebounder?
Entries must be submitted before the beginning of the first game, March 11 noon.

- I don't think X or UD wins this thing. The last NCAA at-large lock to win this was GW in 2005. Desperate teams seem to have an advantage.

Down to 4 perfects. All have Richmond to finish off day 1. In fact, only DCx and Xufinale went against the Spiders, and both have 2.
In all probabilty, the 4 way at the top will remain untill Saint Joseph vs Temple, where of the 4 perfects, only I think Saint Joes will take down the Owls.

Although it's currently a 5 way tie at the top, really only 3 are in the running. Both Muskie and Zeuph have Rhode Island winning their semifinal game, which will be hard to do without them playing. Even worse, Zeuph had the Rams winning it all!
Of the other 3, it looks like the tiebreakers will be unneeded. We all have different scenarious for the final.

If Temple wins, then The Chief wins clear by 4 points. If not, I'll have to bust out the tiebreakers.

Wow, I was looking at the wrong collumn. Let me try again!
If Temple wins, XUFinale wins by 3 points over the chief. If duquense wins, then the 3 of you stay tied.

If Temple wins, XUFinale wins by 3 points over The Chief.
If not, then it comes down to how much Christmas scores in the loss.
Both Punk (Raymond, 36) and Zeuph (Barron 26) scorers are done. XU's pick of Christmas currently sits at 27. If Christmas scores 8 or less, Punk wins. 10 or more, and Finale wins.
If exactly nine, then it goes to Rebounds......Again, Punk is done at 12. And again, Finale went with Christmas who has 5. He would need at least 8 rebounds to win the 2nd tiebreak. No one else can win.

A much more difficult to predit this year. Last year's champ scored 27/28 missing only one first round game. This year the winning score was only 22 / 28, missing 2 first round games and one of the two finalists!
Congratulations to XUFinale for winning edition two! Thanks everyone for playing.
