The SoCon is ranked #20 in conference RPI. Davidson's RPI is just 67, and they are not being spoken of as a candidate for an at-large, so this is likely a Juan Bid conference.

The second best team in the SoCon appears to be College of Charleston. The SoCon has two divisions, with the better being the south having both Charleston and Davidson. Tournament pairings are crossed north vs. south. Somehow, Charleston got beat out for 2nd place in the south division by the Citadel, finishing 3rd. The result being Charleston didn't receive a first round bye despite probably being the 2nd best team in the conference, and Davidsons biggest challenge to the tourney bid.

All games played at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, TN starting today. Charleston did advance in their game against UNC Greensboro. Championship game is Monday on ESPN.

I think Davidson wins their three games by an average of 20/per this weekend (into Monday). That league (which used to be pretty tough) has really just fallen off the map. The Citadel is a nice story, but they're still not very good.

Davidson wins comfortably in their first game, beating Appalachian State 84-68.

Well don't do here, or you're cleaning it up.

Don't worry. If I start feeling really sick, I'll just go there and do it.

Sadly enough, they're only twenty miles from us.

I wouldn't mind seeing CofC and Bobby Cremins back in the NCAA tournament. Talk about a legendary coach falling off the face of the earth...

Charleston beats W. Carolina 67-48, and so they will play Davidson tomorrow in semi #1. There might be an assumption the winner of this game will go on to take the auto, but the other side of this bracket could surprise just for that reason.

The first semi, Charleston vs. Davidson just underway. If you have DTV you can watch on channel 649, SportsSouth. Davidson leads 4-2.

Charleston has now scored about 29 points in the 2nd at the 6 minute mark after only 20 in the first. They lead 49-46. I think Charleston is the better team, but Davidson does have Curry who is special.

Davidson loses to Charleston 59-52, and it would appear NIT bound.

Anyone watching on ESPN? This turning is into a good game from what I gather was a blowout. I just turned it on. This is on Chattanooga home court.

Oh wow. I had just turned the game off because Chattanooga was up by 20 with 13 to go, but it looks like now Charleston is on a 14-2 run. Gotta love March!

jealous of Davidson because they won more NCAA games last year than you guys have for 15 years. I guess that is reasonable.

Unfortunately for UTC, it looks like they may be heading to Dayton.

26-10.

They got lucky on a kid who was mediocre at best in high school and now themselves, and the ignorants of the basketball world, revere the Fighting Curries. Once he leaves that shithole, they will go back to their respective place in the gutter, the pit of despair that is irrelevance.

There are many feelings I have towards Davidson (hatred, disgust, and disdain come to mind first) but jealousy is NOT one of them.

The bad part: "Mocs" is actually short for Mockingbirds.

Ah, so they'll be joining you guys.

Even in our darkest of days, Davidson without Curry wishes they could be in our shoes.

I'll say it again:

26-10

Why does the rivalry even continue? I think the game is a charitable tax write-off for us. Hell, after the bullshit that they pulled on us this year, I almost don't care if we ever play those punks again. Saves me a 20 mile drive.

Go Mocs! My dad played there in the late 50's-early 60's back when it was just Univ. of Chattanooga. I grew up going to a lot of their games. Good to see them back in the Dance.

Hey ATL, do you have a "Chattanooga" Hockey sweater?
