Here is a laundry list of things UD fans have said in the last 24 hours either as an excuse, or something to make them feel better.
1.) Miller designed the pregame scuffle to make the refs call a tight game.
2.) They say it worked, (despite X not even making the double bonus in the 1st half, and only 10.5 fouls per half on UD/X shooting less than avg. # of FT's and only 4 more than UD.
3.) Officiating was one sided.
4.) Xavier never shoots that well. (only 9 of 23 from 3, our AVERAGE for the year.)
5.) BJ Raymond is a punk (along with every other player)
6.) Searcy was hurt
7.) Lowery was hurt
8.) Frabrizurus back spasms
9.) C. Johnson still hurt
10.) P. Williams still injured
11.) 2 Xavier fans simultniously screamed in my wife's ears, causing her severe migrains.
12.) I was "jump kicked" in the sternum.
13.) I was verbally assaulted at Cintas.
14.) Xavier showed UD is their superbowl by all the talk about the game (I guess they have forgotten what a championship is after all these years).
15.) UD has turned the corner on X in talent.
16.) CJ is a rapist.
17.) Xavier sets a moving screen multiple times a possession.
18.) We can get an injunction not to have to play there because BJ Raymond makes faces and their fans are mean.
19.) UD should change conferences so they don't have to play at Xavier (intolerable conditions).
20.) One fan said an obvious conclusion of that game is that UD would win on a neutral court. ???
Can anyone add more that I have overlooked? I actually had a blast today waiting to see what ridiculous comment was next.

When Dayton beat Xavier there were 39 fouls called. XU - 19 Dayton - 20
When Xavier beat Dayton there were 41 fouls called. XU - 19 Dayton - 21
I see what the Dayton fans are talking about......NOT!

Madxster, stop with your facts and reality. Reality isn't kind to Dayton, so they prefer to construct their own universe where their losing is noble. In reality, it's just losing.

I'm sorry. Please accept my apology.
In the future I will attempt to use the "Vulcan Mind Meld" on a Dayton fan prior to posting about UD.

I love the neutral court BS. That just kills me.
This list is hilarious.

I also love the nuetral court stuff as well as them saying if we didn't make every shot they would have won. I don't know if they realize but when they beat us at the dump, they shot well over their season field goal percentage and three point percentage but when we beat them at Cintas we shot under our season field goal percentage and right on our season three point percentage.
I would love to be able to kill them again in AC.

If Spock can mind-meld with a whale, he can do it with a flyer fan.

This about sums up their ultimate suckatude.

Apparently all the fans think they are in the NCAA easy....If they lose first game in A10 tourney, i think they'll be sweating....should they get in, yes, in my opinion...however a weak OOC schedule and really only 2 huge wins all year (Marquette, X). If some teams pull off some upsets in their conference tourneys, there could be some chaos over there...

I would take a 6 seed as long as UD does NOT get in the tourney.

Actually, this sums up their suckatude (in a conversation on another message board about how Dayton has done in conference tournaments):
UD won the MCC in 1990 and won the A-10 in 2003, and made the semifinals before losing to X at the Spectrum in 2002 and in the finals at UD Arena in 2004. Those are the four furthest advances UD has made in a conference tournament.
So just playing in the semis against the Dukes matches the furthest they have ever gone in a conference tourney not played at UD Arena.

Thank you for the clarification.
dayton has 13 NCAA tournament appearances in school history with 0 wins since 1990. Wow, can someone say flagship?
