I know this is late notice and all, but tomorrow night - March 7, my parish, St. Vincent Ferrer, is hosting a Monte Carlo night to help our athletic program. It runs from 7-midnight. Yes, I know it conflicts with the Richmond game but better way to celebrate the conference championship than gambling?

A $25 dollar ticket gets two people in the door and an entry into the reverse raffle - $1,000 grand prize and every 25th number drawn gets $50. Only 300 tickets will be sold. The drawing will start around 9. (if you'd like to come after the game and be in the drawing you can pm me and I'll get you in the drawing just pay me when you get there).

We also have free food, pop and draft beer. Yes, free beer.

St. Vincent is in Kenwood on Kenwood Rd. just west of the I-71 intersection - you can see the steeple off 71.

My grandmother was one of the founders of that church. She also was the music director for years, and they have a little garden off to the side of the church with a plaque of her on there. I believe some of the St. Vincent students used to believe she was buried there :) My parents also did the music at one of the masses there from before I was born until I was 4-5 years old. My dad taught there for a few years back in the '70s. I am well versed on St. Vincent Ferrer.....
