1981...you know what that means. Do you realize not a single player on your team was alive the last time you won at X?!?

To add to it... this has been true for 2 or 3 years. CJ's the oldest player on the team, he was born in Sept of 85.

Player 1: "A toothbrush. A car. Um, an umbrella."

Player 2: "Things at home."

Player 1: "No. Uh, shoes. Cigarettes. A house. Um, um... Oh, the Dayton Flyers."

Player 2: "I GOT IT...things you own!"

what I love is that I came to X from Chicago in the 1981-82 school year and I have never seen us lose at home to dayton...that includes Schmidt Fieldhouse, The Cincinnati Gardens and now the Cintas Center....to me it's Tradition....Long live the "Tradition"....

Tradition? Or just a simple fact of life?

Some of you guys are lucky. Over my four years, X beat ud once. That was the second game of my senior year. It was the only time I saw a Xavier team beat UC, Miami or ud during my four years. And X didn't only lose to these teams back then, they got smoked! It makes winning now all the sweeter. The game X won was the last chance for me to see a winner against any of those teams. The game was at Xavier on a Saturday night. Needless to say a good time was had by all.

BTW, that would have been like January or February of 1978.

I don't remember ever playing dayton downtown, I remember we played uc down there for a couple years due to neither school had a decent gym at the time...
