Loses at home to Vandy, 75-67.
Meanwhile, Mizzou has an 11-point halftime lead on #5 Oklahoma.

I've been rooting hard for LSU since we played them--but now that they are in the same neighborhood as X seed-wise, I'm not sad to see them go down.

stcking with the sec, how bout kentucky losing at home to Georgia, the worst team in the league. It will be nice not seeing UK OR UC names being called on selection sunday this year.

That's what I was thinking. I was rooting for them until we reached the point where our resume's looked kind of similar. Hopefully we both win out (with us getting a couple more quality wins like UD once or twice and URI) and we get the nod over them for our head-to-head road win.
Mizzou up 11 now with 10 left by the way.

I guess it makes sort of sense with LSUs weak interior. An interior is all Vandy has. Ogilvy had 33!

And Mizzou won against Oklahoma by 9.
This years schedule has turned out to be an absolute gem.
Just about all the non-conference bcs-type teams (I include Memphis in that catagory) that X has played have carried a ton of weight.
Now let's add Dayton to the top 50 rpi win column. I'm primed for tomorrow.
Let's go X!

Mizzou owned Oklahoma tonight. If we have to face Oklahoma at any point in the tournament our coaching staff needs to take a hard look at this game film to see how to effectively contain Griffen while not giving the candy store to the rest of the Sooners.

hmmm, is this right? Who knows how all the seeding stuff works out. The chances that X and LSU will fight for a single seed slot seems low. The benefits of LSU remaining a great road win are indisputably big.
I think LSU remains a great road win regardless. I know they say head to head match-ups do not matter and all, but LSU is one of the many teams on the same general tier as us fighting for a 3, 4, 5, or 6 seed, so I hope we can get ahead of as many of those teams as possible. Just keep winning.

True.
I think Dustin Dow claimed that the SC does take into consideration head to head. But I've heard elsewhere they don't. It seems like this process should be more transparent. Yesterday I searched the NCAA site for criteria but found nothing.
Has the NCAA selection committee ever actually given a concise description of how they seed? It seems like there are always questions and differing opinions of how they do certain things. Either way, if we end up having a very similar resume as LSU, I would have to imagine our 10 point win there has to mean something, but who knows.
