Kentucky has come back to start the second half, and it's a back and forth game with about 13 to go.

C'mon LSU. I would love to see UK not make it this year to the big dance.

Big Time 3 for LSU, but almost 10 seconds left for UK to have the ball.

This is a great game. Thornton may have pushed off a couple times before that 3.

X's resume just got even better. That road win against LSU might be the best win of the year. Impressive win for LSU.

Match-ups are everything... I'm pretty sure just because LSU won the SEC and we beat them that doesn't necessarily mean we would have won the SEC... Is it possible??? Most definetely but you can't say that... Otherwise Duqesne and Charlotte won the SEC too...

I don't think Duquesne or Charlotte beat the SEC champion. Just internet banter..

Who would have thought that Missouri, Memphis, and LSU might be seeded ahead of us?

But yeah, the success of those 3 teams helped us not to slide further after the Duquesne/charlotte losses.

I watched the game earlier. That LSU win is looking mighty impressive. Our non-con looks great come selection time.

Kentucky has to be out right now. If they lost at Florida next week, I'd think they'd need to AT LEAST get to the SEC semifinals to be in.

KY is NIT bound. They just don't have very good wins and they played a weak schedule (#85) and they have a weak RPI. They have bad losses especially to VMI at home and their wins against Tennessee and West Virginia will only go so far. They must win the SEC tourney or else. UC is in much better shape as is almost everyone else on the bubble. Man I wonder if UK fans wish they could get Tubby back.

UK fans don't want Tubby back. Minnesota is going to be in the NIT, too.

I'm not sure the NCAA committee would agree with that statement.

Remember, the transitive property does not work in college basketball.

That said - that LSU win at LSU is looking brighter and brighter on the resume.

Re: UK - yeah, by all that is right they should be out, but they have a certain halo effect based on the fact they are UK.

Minnesota was doing so well, but the Big Ten season has done them in sad to say. Not only that with the exception of Lousiville (which they won, on a neutral court) their non-con season can be described as a parade of cupcakes. So, unlike us, they don't have a strong OOC season to point to.

Besides, do we want to start the "We'd win the SEC if we were in it?". Sounds too much like they guy who coaches for sUCks (or is it SucKS). Recall, the SEC is the conference that has already sent TWO head coaches to the unemployment line.
