LSU beats Florida

Xavier is still the only team to beat LSU on their home court this year, and that was by 10 points. Good win for the Tigers. Thornton had 30+ points.

If our guys can get back to playing like they did in Baton Rouge, they could do some damage in March.

LSU really needed that win considering their best win before that was Tennessee.

LSU's 12-1 and four games up on everyone in the SEC. I don't think they're in any danger.

After X beat LSU at their place by 10, that victory is now becoming even more impressive as LSU has reeled off nine straight wins since that loss. And with LSU's impressive win over Florida last night, at home, they clinched a tie for the top of the SEC and they look like a team that could go far in the Big Dance. So, with the LSU victory along with impressive wins over Missou, Memphis, Virginia Tech, and Cinci, X should feel very gratified in their progress as a team this year, even though, perhaps, point guard play is still a concern, and many pieces from last year's team had to be replaced.

I am hopeful Terrell can find what he had going for him in Puerto Rico. He was a big part of why we beat Memphis and Missouri. That is why I cringe when I read posters stating he should be losing more minutes to Brad. All frosh have ups and downs and I am anticipating Tutu being 'up' for March basketball. It is clear we need solid point play or we could have a very short post season no matter where we end up being seeded.
