0-4 against the old C-USA contingent in the Big East (including 0-3 at home) has done them in.

I do want Georgetown to play the bearkittens in the Big East tourney and beat their a$$. No way they lose a 3rd time. Then, UC would be heading to the NIT fo sho.

Wait if Georgetown plays sUCks in the NCAA tourney, no matter who wins, neither one of them would be headed to the NIT, as they were already in the NCAA.
That said, I can see both of them having to fight it out in the Big East Tournamnet. Mick Cronin claims to have sUCks knocking on the Selection Commitee's door, problem is I don't think the committe can hear that light tapping made with the furry bearcat mascots paw. I think its sUCks that needs to win out the Big East. Now they are playing the hard half of the Big East without a statement win.
That new Big East tournament format seems to be born from desperation. 5 games in 5 days? Really? I only know of one team who has been known to pull off the 4 for 4!
There are what 16 Big East teams right? Day 1 takes them to 8, Day 2 takes them to 4, Day 3 takes them to 2, Day 1 takes them to 1. It should only take 4, but the problem is with most if not all conference toruneys is that they try to keep it to one arena. Under that scneario they either have to play 8 games on Day 1, which is possible if they want to start very early in the morning. That or they have to split Day 1 into two days giving some teams an unfair mid tournament break. Of course you could say the way they phase in teams with bye games for possibly the first 2 days is an unfair break. So instead they have it going 16 -> 12 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1. The A10 is not innocent either - we go 12->8->4->2->1. If the Big East really wants all 16 teams to play the tourney they could run 2 arenas the first game. There has to be anouther arena in New York City!
If I recall, isn't the A10 solving this problem next year by having round 1 games being played at campus sites on Tuesday, then sending those that survive to the still undetermined tournament venue Thursday-Sunday?

The Big East Tournament this year goes:
Day 1: four games (9-16, 10-15, 11-14, 12-13).
Day 2: four games (four winners from Day 1 play teams 5-8)
Day 3: four games (four winners from Day 2 play teams 1-4)
Day 4: semis
Day 5: final

Incorrect. That was part of a mock bracket exercise done with the NCAA. The NCAA gave them certain assumptions: assume Georgetown wins the Big East tournament, Minnesota wins the Big 10 tournament, etc.
People need to stop trying to find biases that aren't there.

As was discussed in the Lunardi thread, part of the problem was the way that mock bracket was presented. If you were to just go to the standard Lunardi's Bracketology link you got the mock selection bracket, in the exact same format, as the bracketology bracket. It's not till you read the fine print over to the side that you learn it is not the Bracketology bracket. If you click for further details you will see he isn't going to post the usual Bracketology until Friday.
They really needed to do something more drastic to make it stand out that "This is not the Bracketology Bracket"
The mock selection does include things like the team being thrown curve balls like Georgetown winning the Big East Tourney.
We are also not the only college hoops message board that was misled by this...

It seems that there is exactly one person in the world that is outraged by this.

Before the season: "The Big East be the best conference ever." - ESPN
Now: "The Big East is the most overrrated conference ever." - everyone except ESPN

I wouldn't use "outraged" that's an awful strong word.
I just find it deceptive...

It's amazing how much talent Georgetown has and how bad they are.

They have 4 talented players. After that they don't have much.

It will be called the ultimate "comeback year" for the SEC!
