Absolutely absurd the amount of talent they bring in year after year...

From Derrick Rose to Tyreke Evans to Xavier Henry.

Now it looks like they'll land the number 2 player in the country Demarcus Cousins...

So next years recruiting class could/probably will feature...

1) The number 1 on many sites ranked player in the country Xavier Henry

2) The number 2 ranked player in the country DeMarcus Cousins

3) 4 star PF CC transfer Will Coleman

4) 4 star 11th ranked SG (47 overall) Nolan Dennis

5) 4 star SF CC transfer Darnell Dodson

if Tyreke Evans stays and runs the point, which is probably doubtful but you never know, is there any doubt they are the preseason #1 team for next year? I guess wake will be really good too and the usual UNC/Duke/etc...but still...

I would love to see X schedule Memphis in the near future. I'm sure they are trying to make it happen

Not so amazing when you can promise a kid that he won't have to go to class for any point of the four years.

Memphis= advanced middle school.

LOL. Playing in the FedEx Forum really helps. I love that place. What a great venue. (Great venue + no classes = signee) Wow, I almost wrote "no class" instead of "no classes". I wouldn't want to be so obvious.

Anyone watching this Memphis vs. UAB game? Good god, what a slam by Evans! Hard hard fall. Intentional on UAB player.

UAB has a really good crowd.

John Wall, the best point guard in the country, has said that Memphis is his leader. Him combined with Henry and Cousins would be an awesome class. If Evans and Taggert stay, its probably the most talented (not necessarily the best) team in the country.

From Gary Parrish:

John Calipari has claimed he wants to someday produce an undefeated season culminating with a national title.

He might have a realistic opportunity on tap.

"I think Memphis is in the lead right now," John Wall, the nation's top point guard, told Scout.com's Evan Daniels on Monday night. "I think Memphis has been in the lead for a while."

Obviously, this could all change.

Baylor or Kansas or Miami could be Wall's "leader" tomorrow.

But Wall labeling Memphis his "leader" a day after DeMarcus Cousins committed to the Tigers qualifies as a news worthy development, because -- considering Xavier Henry has already signed with the Tigers -- it now appears likely that Calipari will have three top six recruits on his roster next season, specifically the nation's No. 1 point guard (Wall), No. 1 shooting guard (Henry) and No. 2 center (Cousins).
