LSU Cruising to SEC Regular Season Title

LSU won another SEC road game last night to go 10-1 in the conference. They have a 3 game lead for the regular season title with only 5 games to play. There is a 5-way tie for second at 7-4. ( UT, UK, UF, and USC are all tied at the top of the East.)

Even though LSU lost to us, I am willing to bet that most Tiger fans will view that game as a turning point in their program. They had a full house, the place was rocking, and they have been back on the national radar since. It is daylight and dark from where this team was this time last year, and I am thinking that our game with them next year at Cintas will be a big-time event.

Plus they were down big early. Trent Johnson has to be in the discussion for coach of the year.

And what a great road trip that was. LSU fans, outside of the in game complaining (they thought Frease traveled everytime he touched the ball), were cordial and very complimentary of Xavier. They have a ton of respect for the X program. Of course, mid-60's weather for a road trip in January didn't hurt either. Here's to hoping this series can be renewed for another home and home in the next few years.
