Avery Bradley (Texas)
Wally Judge (Kansas State)
Mason Plumlee (Duke)
Michael Snaer (Florida State)
Tommy Mason-Griffin (Oklahoma)
Keith Gallon (Oklahoma)
Travis Wear (North Carolina)
David Wear (North Carolina)

Here are a few notes about the rosters and game:

* John Wall, the nation's best point guard, was not eligible for inclusion because he is a fifth-year senior.
* Of the 24 players selected, 21 are committed to a school.
* Of those 21, nine have decided to play in the ACC next season.
* The Big East has five of them and the Big 12 has four.
* North Carolina has four signees in the game. That's twice as many as any other program.
* Oklahoma, Duke and Villanova each have two signees in the game.

Anybody think that just because a kid gets recruited by the Big 6 that automatically their stock goes up?

I'm not saying that there should be any of XU's recruits on those rosters, but there are no guys outside of the percieved "power conferences". How about that stud recruit for LaSuck-Aaric Murray- who is Top 10 in some of the scout's reports that I've seen?

Chicken or egg?

Murray is a 4 star on most of the major sites I've seen.

Not necessarily all Big 6 schools, but it does happen with the NAME programs. The scouting services will think they must be missing something if UNC, Duke, Memphis, etc. want a player. 3-stars become 4-stars. 4-stars become 5-stars. Iowa State, Rutgers, Penn State, Auburn, Florida State, Washington State, etc. don't have that same sway on the recruiting services. Jeff Lebo, for instance, is getting his first 4-star player in 6 years. I can assure you that the recruiters haven't thought twice about upgrading any of his recruits.

I was looking at the Rivals rankings for these guys, which I know is not the Bible to recruiting, and I noticed that some of these guys aren't the top players in the country. I am convinced they pick half of them based on which schools they are going to.

Peyton Siva - Lousiville - #49 overall
Tommy Mason-Griffin - Oklahoma - #66 overall
Mason Plumlee - Duke - #42 overall
David and Travis Wear - UNC - #68 and 69 overall

It looks to me that they just picked these guys because of the school or some gimmick (Plumlee has a brother at Duke and the UNC guys are twins) and not the best players.
