Syracuse was ahead by 10 with 2:36 to go in regulation and Georgetown squeezed it out to tie with 12 seconds left. Syracuse lead by one at the half, but lead the majority of the game.

93-90 Syracuse with 29 seconds

Pretty kick ass game down the stretch. Although, looked like Flynn was on the take w/ that last turnover he had in regulation. They pulled it together in OT though.

Syracuse is pretty safe for the tourney now. They are 7-6 in the BE with a pretty easy remaining schedule.

GTown, on the other hand, is just about dead. They are 4-8 in the BE and probably need to get to 9-9 to get in. Of their final 6 games, they still have Marquette and Louisville at home and Nova on the road.

Final score 98-94 Syracuse.

Georgetown had their chance at the end. They fought very hard and sometimes the ball just didn't bounce their way. Syracuse shot well, but really won this at the free throw line.

Georgetown is done and Syracuse better hope they beat UC or they will be done too. Man has the game passed Jim Boehiem by. The guy has talent but man does he look lost out their coaching. All he does is wave his arms like he is swimming and he looks like he is confused as to where he is. Maybe that is why Syracuse has been very mediocre these last 4 or 5 years.

I don't like Jim Boehiem, but that's a little much don't ya think? I mean they did win the national title in 2003. That's only six years ago.

He won in 2003 because he had the best player in college basketball and Jerry Mcnamara was pretty damm good too as was Hakim Warrick. I could have coached that team to the title. Watch his games he is lost and there is a reason he struggles with teams like Cleveland St., Richmond and Virginia at home. And with all of the talent that he gets he has missed the NCAA tourney the past 2 years and may make it 3. The game and or his passion has passed him by and it is evident.

The reason lesser teams can sometimes stay in the game against them is because they play mostly zone. I hate that they play zone b/c they have one of the best collection of athletes in the country but he's got over 700 wins for a reason. He knows what the eff he is doing. And you could not have coached them to a title in 03. They were a 3 seed that year for crying out loud. I am now done debating this.

Be done then. You have your opinion and I have mine. Guy was a great coach but he is on the downward spiral. And for the other guy if Syracuse losses to UC at home they are all but done. They have a rough schedule the rest of the way and sit in 8th place today. Should they finish 9th or 10th in the league they don't have a prayer.

3 of their next 5 are against UC, St Johns, and Rutgers how is that a rough schedule. Not to mention villanova at home who just got raped by West Virginia. Look stuff up before you make comments you dont know about. Even if they lose to UC and they win the other two easy ones how are they done? They would be 9-9 in conference and who knows at that point in what place. Then the conference tourney. To say they would be done is foolish.

Ok there thin skin. I did look it up. I see them losing to Nova and Marquette. If they lose to UC that will put them at 9-9 and most likely in 9th or 10th place in the BE/ I could also see them losing at St. John's. Trust me if they lose 3 more games with 1 being UC they are done.

Ok, but only since you say to trust you.

Kind of like how you claimed that students get more excited for womens games at Tennessee than the men's games right?

How many Tennessee womens and mens games have you been to? I have been to several. Tennessee has been selling out womens games for the last 15 years and as of 4 years ago when I went to the Xavier Tennessee mens game there were about 8,000 people there and you could have heard a pin drop. I went to a womens game the year before and there were 20,000 people there and the place was up for grabs.

Well considering my brother was a student there as recently as this past semester(he just transferred) and he went to both games and he said the student section is double the size at the men's games I will take his word for it.

"The Vols rank third nationally with an average attendance of 20,763." That is for the men's team. http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/012909aac.html

15,796. That was the average last year for the womens team I couldnt find it for this year.
http://umterps.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/080408aab.html

Now obviously the overall attendance isnt double but I never said that I just said student section which I had heard from my brother.

This obviously doesnt really matter except for the fact that I think you have just been making stuff up without actually knowing and I have called you on it.

Syracuse is the awesome. Clearly they'd romp their way through the A-10!

Boeheim's a has been. The zone gimmick defense he plays is a joke. 94 points to a Princeton style offense like Georgetown, please....teams that can't defend don't belong in the tourney. Like Xavierj said that was all Anthony, Warrick and Mcnamera in '03 and Kansas played like crap in that game.

yeah, that gimmick has won him 788 games at Syracuse. What a joke....
