Heads up this game is on the deuce in 15 mins. Would love to see Temple hang another L on the Hawks. I don't like looking up in the standings.

I predict a Temple win. I have no basis for that, but I predict it anyway.

Not sure about the tie-breakers but a virtual 3-way tie with them and the Hawks. UD has the 1 seed right now but after that I'm not sure.

SJU is a half game back at 7-2 as they have only played 9 games in conference.
Us and Dayton are 8-2.....at the top.

Doesn't matter. We play them both and are back in control of our own destiny.
I really was not at all impressed with St. Joe's. Watching them play Temple tonight, it's no surprise they were 7-7 in the non-conference.
I like our chances now against them later this month.

Actually, even after the ud loss we were still in control of our destiny., but this win by Temple makes things easier. I'm looking forward to getting the guys back home on Saturday and being there to give them a boost of energy!

They have Nivins and....well, that's about it.

My Gawd, we talk about end game.
I don't think I have ever seen a worse coaching job than the one turned in during the last minute by Fran Dunphy. You have an 11 point lead, you know that you are going to get fouled every time. Screw your usual lineup- put 5 of your best free throw shooters in the game who, chances are, can also defend the perimeter. better and at least slow down the dribble penetration. What brick layers, but at least Fernandez made a couple.
Terrible job by Dunphy.

Actually that is exactly what Fran did at the end of the game. He had Christmas (80% for season), Brooks (73%), Olmos (71%), Fernandez (69%), and until he fould out Allen (63%). when Allen fouled out, which was by the way the dumbest foul I have ever seen and had I been coach Dunphy I would have personally gone out on the court and beaten his ass, they replaced him with Inge (65%). Those are the top 6 guys on Temple's team in terms of free throw shooting percentage. Having those guys miss all those free throws is squarely on the players it has nothing to do with in-game coaching ability. you also have to give some credit to St. Joe's players for finally making shots at the end of the game. But had Temple actually hit free throws (7 for 18) it would have never been anywhere near that close of a game.

Actually, B, Fernandez was on the bench until Allen fouled out. Allen was the guy that the Hawks kept fouling and he kept missing them, Then, on his last miss, he goes on the back of a St. Joes guy giving them two frees with the clock stopped. I kept screaming where the hell is Fernandez. Although he missed a couple after he came in, he at least split the pair. Allen was horriffic.
