My new buddies over on the Xavier MBs like PM Thor, Ivanhoe and Xavier Tragedy basically drilled me a new one when I had the audacity to predict a 15 point UD victory before the two teams’ first encounter. I apologize fellas, I was totally wrong.

Looks like PM Thor and myself are on his hit list. Here is a prediction for you Swampy:

UD loses big time to X next week. Then UD gets bounced in the first round of the tourney by LaSuck. Then come selection Sunday Dayton doesnt get their name called. Then you get bounced in the first round of the NIT.

Things like "how did they ever form a basketball program down there" and "wait until we go beat their arses at the sissy center" can't exactly be said until you uh, oh i dont know, win there. Dayton can't win here. Period. Some other things they have trouble doing include:

Winning consistently
Being good
Not sucking
Playing teams that are in the top 300
Keeping up with us in recruiting
Get a superior coach (cant beat Sean)
Avoiding DBrowns balls in their faces
Making the tournament (the real one kids)
Winning in the tournament


However, they are very good at running their mouths before and without proving anything. When you talk shit, you lose unless you can back it up. Xavier doesnt talk shit, they just take care of business. UD can prepare to leave Cintas with a double digit loss. Oh, and Im sure they will also thoroughly enjoy sitting on their asses watching actual good teams play in the tourney. Sit down before you hurt yourselves UD. On March 5 you will be owned.

I certainly can base my opinion on one game, because the reality is that his 37PPG against crappy teams doesn't mean bupkus if he can't score when he is forced to play vs. real competition, akin to what he will face night in and night out at X.

If you read my review of the MI HS All Star Game, I had some nice things to say about Redford.

Today I wandered over to UDPride and read their column writer Swampy Meadows comments about the upcoming Xavier game. Wow. I don't get it. I think he must have some personal vendetta against Brad Redford. Geez. Hey Swamp, he made you look bad by winning Mr. Basketball over your guy. Accept it. He's having a good season for a Top 25 team. He can play at the D1 level. He also seems like a good kid. You are (I think) a grown man. Like I've said prior, I have no use for that guy. The fact that uds' site actually uses his ramblings as articles speaks volumes. Just compare and contrast the articles put on the front page here and his tripe that is passed off as "information". The fact that he actually attacks individual posters, from a freaking different board no less, what does that say about the guy?

He is the perfect example of the dayton fanbase. Someone who passes himself off as informed, yet is continually wrong, and continually tries to measure up to Xavier in every way.

I went over there and read the 'article'. I honestly can't believe that the board mods have selected him to be the lead writer for the basketball part of that site. Just look at the quality of articles written here and over on MM and compare them to the worthless drivel he spews. He definitely has a hard-on for Redford and takes some dim-witted shots at him in the article. I doubt anyone over there really looks to him for quality information. Just remember that this is the old fart who was going around to message boards and actually challenging people to one on one basketball games.
