"Whatever happens tonight and tomorrow has no impact on the best rivalry in college sports."
You're joking, right? Rivalry? What rivalry? It's not a rivalry when you haven't won a tournament game in ages. It's not a rivalry when your last road victory came six Presidents ago. It's not a rivalry when we rarely fight over players anymore. It's not a rivalry because you say it is. It's not a rivalry when the other school doesn't consider you to be their main rival.
Wow, I hate that delusion group of losers.

I wouldn't argue that it's not a rivalry because I believe it is. We want to beat them bad they want to beat us bad, we talk about them a lot they talk about us even more. We are close in proximity and we hate their fans and they hate us. However, to say it's the biggest rivalry in sports is a joke because it isn't even our biggest rivalry as a team and because we have dominated the rivalry lately.

Do kez knee has been a thorn in Xavier's side for a long time now. They have been a much better rival than UD could ever be. Screw UD. If they would win against Xavier they would rush the court but when we beat them again for the 9th time in 13 games we will hold out composure because they are what a Mid-Major should be.

Obviously, I think it's a rivalry. However, I think much of that comes from the fact that Dayton fans are so obsessed with Xavier. Think about it, if they weren't constantly spewing inane ramblings and justifications regarding their second-rate program would Xavier fans care about this game as much anymore? I feel like it would have lost much of its luster like the Shootout has of late (thats an entirely different discussion though).
I just find it hysterical that UD fans constantly have to be comparing themselves to us. In EVERYTHING. This is a decent regional rivalry that has been a bit one sided and nothing more. I would love to have seen that clowns justification for X/UD over Alabama/Auburn, OSU/UM, Duke/UNC, UK/UL, Syracuse/Georgetown, even the Shootout (which I still consider one of the best).

It's not a rivalry. A rival is defined as this...
1. a person who is competing for the same object or goal as another, or who tries to equal or outdo another; competitor.
2. a person or thing that is in a position to dispute another's preeminence or superiority: a stadium without a rival.
You think that dayton is truly our equal? Does anyone believe that they can dispute our superiority as in number 2?
I know I don't believe either of my prior questions, so there really is no rivalry here. It's them wanting to be our rival, our equal, but in reality it is us just kicking the crap out of them continually. The dominance is clear. dayton is not our rival. They are our whipping boys, and it won't end on Wednesday. Rivalry my butt.
I HATE dayton.

I would just ask why you write out I HATE dayton after every post then? I am not saying you are wrong about it not being a rivalry but it makes it more of a rivalry when they obsess over us and we do the same.

PO-Z seems to be a bit testy tonight. Did the Nets lose today?

Why do I write it out? Because I HATE dayton. Per the actual definition that was in the dictionary, am I off in the assertion that they aren't a rival? I don't obsess about dayton at all, I would rather never think about them again, because they royally piss me off every time I do.
I would be all in favor of never playing dayton again, never going through that town again, having every reference of that town stricken from the history of mankind. I despise everything about that place, "school" (I use that term lightly), city, and people. Most people really think I am putting on a show by typing this out and that I'm just kidding around.
I'm not.
I HATE dayton.

I thought you were talking about the threads that appear after a loss. It's like a group manic-depressive thing over there.
