I got this from Lance's blog but its pretty interesting:
Team A
Record: 12-6
Conference Record: 3-4
RPI: 77
Strength of Schedule: 82
vs. RPI Top 100: 2-5
Team B
Record: 13-7
Conference Record: 3-4
RPI: 60
Strength of Schedule: 32
vs. RPI Top 100: 3-7
Team A is Notre Dame Team B is Cincinnati
ND is a fraud.

That only proves that ND should NOT be ranked....nor should UC

Honestly, Not-re Dame, Georgetown and Villanova are all frauds. Why?
Non-Conference results:
Not-re Dame- Vs. Non conference Top 100 RPI- 1-2. Only 3 games of this type, the rest against scrubs. One they lost at home to a suspect Ohio State.
Georgetown- Vs. Non conference Top 100 RPI- 2-2. Only 4 games of this type. The rest against scrubs. Beat Memphis at home in OT. One win against a lousy Maryland team. Losses to Tennessee and Duke.
Villanova- Vs, Non-conference Top 100 RPI- 4-1. Only 5 games of this type, the rest against scrubs. Three games of the "Top 100" vs A-10 teams two they played at home and should have lost to St. Joes. Wins top 100- Niagara, Rhode Island, Temple, St. Joes. Loss to Texas. Anybody impressed?
Don't buy into any of these teams or the pap that B-Espn or the UC invested Cincy media want to cram down your throat. None have played anywhere near the schedule of non-con games that Xavier has played. If they had, they'd be out of the Top 25.

I agree on ND and Nova. I disagree on Georgetown. Getting a convincing win @ UCONN gives them a few passes in my mind.

Georgetown should not be ranked. The UConn win should not prop up a team that has lost their last 3 and 5 of their last 7. Especially when one of those loses is to Seton Hall. Georgetown could probably lose to UC and Marquette in the coming week.
Notre Dame was overranked at the beginning of the season. Georgetown is not as good as everyone thinks. Villanova is a puzzling team but their loses are against Texas, Louisville, Marquette, and UConn...they haven't lost any cupcake games.
I have defended Georgetown this year because I've watched them play as much as any other team other than X including in person twice, and they are very talented and look scary at times, but after last night's loss to Seton Hall, I have a hard time arguing that they are top 20. That said, Greg Monroe is the REAL DEAL and I wouldn't want to play a pissed off G-Town team early in the tourney.

I think Georgetown is a very talented team, and they look really, really good at times...but their problem is inconsistency and the team just doesn't gel at times. This is not a bash on JT3, but the coaches cannot get all these guys on the same page. That is why they are not a Top 25 team and have the potential of losing more games in the future.

I agree completely. I can't believe they lost yesterday.

Notre Dame is totally awesome because they keep losing to totally awesome Big East teams. Every A-10 team should schedule nothing but totally awesome Big East teams then lose every game to them which would make every A-10 team totally awesome but not as totally awesome as Big East teams.

You beat me to it Juice. How the hell does ND get so much slack from the pollsters (it's a rhetorical question)? This team has 6 losses, is under .500 in their league and lost to OSU in the OOC schedule.
If that hack from Pissburgh wants to rant-and-rave about an overrated men's basketball team, he need go no further than South Bend, IN.
Chalk up another home loss for the Irish
Marquette 71 ND 64

Had ND won their home game against #8 Marquette tonight, that would have assured ND they'd remain in the top 25 through the year 2015.
And Harangoty--he's very easy to dislike. He's so busy out there...sticking his chest out, waving his arms and stomping around after a play is complete, chastising refs, teammates, and the opposition for whatever reason. You can only hope that a few months in the NBA might straighten him out. On the other hand, you can hope not.

The good thing is that the Selection Committee does an awesome job. On bracketology, ND has a 10 seed (of course, that doesn't take into consideration the Marquette loss).
I have fears about ESPN influencing the Selection Committee. (Ha, this does kind of sound like communist Russia.) But right now they do a great job. And the media and coaches simply suck.

Now that the Irish are 12-7 I figure they'll either stay at 22 or maybe move back to 23 in the USA Today/ESPN poll. [/sarcasm]
They are the biggest fraud of this season, but most of the Big East teams aren't too far behind. The ESPN hype machine ordained all these teams as being great before the season started. During conference play there will be teams beating each other and of course the hype is that it is a constant clash of titans. I watch these teams too. The Big East has a couple teams that I think really do belong in the top 7 (UConn and Pitt). I can't bitch much about where Louisville is ranked. They have looked good to me.
The rest of the "great" teams in the Big East are all good, but are way over hyped. In that class I put Marquette, Georgetown, Syracuse, Villanova, and West Virginia. Notre Dame is in a class of their own in terms of being over-hyped. The Big East has a lot of good teams, but that isn't really surprising considering they have that many teams. It is a good conference, but the crap about them being the best ever is beyond absurd. They are the biggest ever, sure. I think the ACC is the best.

I think you're safe there, since it's CBS (not ESPN) that pays the bills of the Committee, so to speak.

Just wait until Notre Dame makes the tournament and plays the disrespect card in front of the media. They win a game or two, and rinse and repeat.
At least put them up like a fatted calf (a #12 seed) in front of Butler in Round 1.
