Just once I'd like to wake-up, log-on & go the the Atlantic 10 website after a big Xavier win and see any Muskie props. This site is f'in weak. The A-10 Website is a microcosm of the overall conference--sub-par and out of date!

Not surprised in the slightest. Our own local newspaper (at least the online version of the Cincinnati Enquirer) has the XU / LSU recap buried behind the North vs. South college football matchup. In fact, due to the revised layout of that site, one has to scroll WAAAAY down to the bottom of the page to find the story.

Honestly, I don't care anymore. I don't think this program or its fans needs to beg for attention. For whatever reason, the powers of the press think readers are apathetic about Xavier basketball. You know, it's a small school - what following could there really be?

Seriously, Cincinnati is loaded with sports - there can't be enough room for everyone. Who Dey! Way to win those last three games and provide false hope (again) for 2009. Go Reds! Johnny Gomes will propel this team to the playoffs! Go Cats! Way to represent in Miami! Who are we forgetting...?

My new theory is that since Xavier basketball is the only local team that wins every year that it's no longer news. It's expected like the sunrise. You don't see many front-page stories about the sun rising...
