Congrats to Charlie for becoming the all-time winningest basketball coach at Miami. Could not be happier for a great guy, a great teacher and the most humble and gracious basketball coach in the game today. Godspeed, Mr. Coles.:)

Well said picknroll. Agree 100%. He will be missed when he decides it's time to step away.

He has already decided to step away.

Charlie Coles has taken Miami basketball to a different level. In his case that is not a good thing. Miami basketball used to be better.

when is our contract up with them? Coles always plasy us real tough whether its in cincy or in miami. I would say we are their top opponent every year, and they look forward to always playing us really tough.
I wouldnt be dissapointed when we take miami off the schedule. always seems to give me a scare.

Miami would be a great buy game, or at least a 2 for 1.

Removing Miami from the schedule because we are "better" than them would be all around bad and the WRONG thing to do. Stopping a rivalry because one team is better at the time than the other is sending out a signal that we are Chicken S#!T/ afraid we will lose. It is also the Bush-league crap that Dayton and UC pull. We are Xavier! We are better than that! I say with confidence that Fr. Hoff would have been extremely disappointed to even hear of this kind of talk.

They played UCLA and Pitt this year.

But as an every year opponent, I would say X is their best opponent.

I personally love to series with Miami. They are always a tough game, its an in-state game, and playing them never really hurts our computer numbers because of the tough schedule they play.

I just hope they get a better coach after this year and start moving toward being the pride of the MAC again. Miami used to have a pretty good little program.

Miami usually found some hidden gems from Ron Harper to Wally Szcerbiak and others. It's been awhile since they've had a standout player.
