Yes, I agree. I want to punch the kid eating the orange at the end of the commercial.

No brainer. Hands down: Subway 5 dollar footlong commercials. Every single one of them. The jingle is grating, and the singing and dancing construction workers are about as believable as the wizard of oz.

Incidentally, if it takes a commercial to proclaim "home of the famous $5 footlong" - then how is it famous?

And since $5 footlongs at Subway are a new concept, how could fame be achieved so quickly?

And good luck trying to find a $5 footlong that you actually order, unless you really like black forest ham.

Subway. Eat fresh for $6.

I know Michigan. The only sandwich I used to get was the Italian BMT and that is not on the 5 dollar menu.
I have switched to Quiznos. The Meat Stack is worth every penny of 5 bucks.

I'm right there with you with the UC cheer commerical, just remember though you can always chant "YOU SUCK" at the end of it.

And the Subway one too, I really like the BMT but to get the $5 special, I have to downgrade to the Spicy Italian. (Which is anything but, unless you add jack cheese and peppers to it)

They make it sound like any footlong, then I got there and started to order: BMT, nope, Subway Club, nope....

When the family is sitting around the campfire and each is wearing them, I think they look like are Heaven's Gate members or they just left the sci-fi convention.

The Sham-wow commercials can be a bit much...that guy is trying to be Billy Mays and it just isn't working for me

Even better is the part of the Snuggie commercial where they suggest taking them to a ball game. So, you have 4 freaks in these weird robes sitting in the stands of the football game.

Nice.

It does sound like a hell of a deal to buy the snuggie, get another free, and they throw in a free pop up book light--all for only $19.95. That is awesome!

I think the commercials are working because I might just order one for everyone on the Magic Bus to Pissburgh. That would be sweet.

The damn Verizon add where the douchebag is out in front of his overly decorated house, unplugging the lights, when his neighbor walks by and informs him that he can still buy a phone.

Then he smiles and plugs the lights back in. He looks like he molests Collies.

Speaking of Steve Wilkos, if you haven't watched him, DVR it. You have to like it though like you like any trash TV (Cops, Cheaters, VH1's Sunday lineup). Steve manages to make everyone's statements a crack on him or the Marines, then he proceeds to chuck the chair off the stage and spit on the guests' face with his halitosis-ridden saliva.

The Miracle Thaw works pretty well, although not as well as it did when I first got it years ago.

I have my own Snuggy by the way, its called a hooded sweatshirt, a pair of pants, socks, and a blanket and I don't look nearly as ridiculous ( I know its coming so I'll say it, "Don't sell yourself short pickled, you look tremendously ridiculous".), although I am very rarely cold enough to wear all of that, especially in my own house.

And the UC commercial is very annoying, especially the orange part at the end. Either the guy is a neanderthal that doesn't know how to eat the fruit and comes off looking functionally retarded, he has a scorching case of scurvy that requires copious amounts of vitamin C right away, or both.

Also with the UC commercial, I think its funny that they don't include any basketball shots in there while trying to show campus and classroom settings. Has basketball really fallen that far off of the UC map for their students and fans? When Toothy McOrangepealer gets more time in an ad than the basketball team, something is wrong with the program.

Well, if you consider being told to point and shoot the damn thing at various bar codes "in control" then, yeah, I was in control. I was lagging behind the wife to be in the store when I came across the "as seen on tv" section. I put both the Shamwow and a Snuggie on the registry just to see if someone would buy them. personally I'm sick of all the commercials for the new and latest drug. What about Latist (or however you spell it) - seriously do we need a drug for longer, more thicker eyelashes? Is this really a major medical problem that can only be fixed with more drugs? Any of these new drugs sound great until they start with the disclaimer at the end in which you can get multiple afflictions that in many cases sounds worse than the actual problem to begin with.

Those are so stupid and low-rent they are kind of funny.

My top 3:
1-Progressive. I've had it with that plucky chick and the faux excitement people get when finding low insurance rates in a box on the shelf.
2-Yaz. The one with the synchronized swimmers. The music is annoying and the commercial in general is insulting.
3-Other female oriented drug commercials. As if we women sit around discussing the benefits of the latest drug we saw on a commercial then rattle off the legal disclaimer to our friends like it's helpful info we just happen to keep in the front of our minds. Insulting.

Anybody ever research those "lower insurance rates and those hundreds of dollars savings" by finding out if they give the savings by reducing the coverage or raising the deductible or being slo-pay or no pay on claims? Just wondering how they do it without somebody being screwed,
Also, agree on those Yaz commercials and the law firms that advertise the claims against Yaz. I can't believe women sit arond and discuss that stuff BUT, ...Oh, never mind. Guys are just as ridiculous and why is it always the women who appear to have sole responsibility for the birth control? Just wondering. Board of Dicks.

I like the commercial with hamsters driving toasters, "You can get with this, Or you can get with that..."

Also like the baby giving financial advise.

Wanna hit Roni DUECHE. Slap her.

I detest Steve Perin's commercial for Coordinated Financial Planning on 55KRC radio. The guy tries to say too much in too short a period of time, while berating sales people and other planners who are on commission vs. being fee-based.

Personally, I am a commission-based employee benefits broker and I have always, always done right by my clients, regardless of how I get compensated. Without exception, I always put trust and competence ahead of remuneration.

Perin is genuinely dishonest with his comments that fee-based brokers are more reputable and trustworthy than commission-based brokers. Sick of it and sick of him.

There's an ad out for some sort of drug or eye drop for people with chronic dry eyes. They actually say in the ad that "the most common side effect is a burning sensation in the eyes".

The other one that bugs me is the chick in the roofing or windows company - a local ad - that says "We'll save you a loooooooot of money!".
