If you have a handicapped parking pass is it first come first serve? Or do the rich handicapped have the close-in priority spots?

And how early would I have to leave for the 6 p.m. tip? Hoping to cop a freebie at the door.

First come, first serve. When we took my dad, we'd arrive an hour prior to tip to guarantee spot.

Thanks, that's about what I was figuring.

As he said its first come first served.

There are a couple sections, hopefully there will be some in the main Cintas lot when you arrive. For those enter the lot off Herald ave right across from that resident hall and next to the public safety building. Have your hangtag displayed before you get to the turn of the cops won't let you turn into the lot. The handicap section is a tiny section of lot right alongside Herald Ave. (Turn into the lot, and make two rights, the section is pretty well marked. If the AFO isn't using all their spaces, sometimes they will let a very limited number of handicap parkers into the AFO lot which is that small lot directly behind public safety to the left as you enter the main parking entrance. For either of those sections be there at LEAST an hour before tip. Be warned that either of those two sections is a fair walk to the door, but still closer than parking in any of the free lots. If you choose the main entrance its either stairs or a hillside down (meaning back up at the end of the game) The back door is further but more level. There are a few spaces marked handicap right across from the front doors, but those might be reserved as we have never been offered those.

If those fill, don't dispair, there is a handicap only lot across Herald Ave, roughy across from Husman hall. Yes, its a haul from that lot, but again still better than the remote lots.

I recall Chief Couch once said a parking permit is a license to hunt for a space. Arrive less than 30 minutes before tip, and you may get to relive that.
