Checking the RPI this morning, the A-10 still sits in a solid 7th behind the BCS Big 6.
While we, and I, admittedly grumble about this league, A) It still has the highest out of conference rpi percentage of any non-BCS league, B) It has the 4th highest SOS- higher than the Big 12 (10th), Big Greased (8th), PAC 10 (7th) and the joke sham that is the SEC this year (20th). Is anybody really that good in the SEC? Tennessee barely got by Belmont last night. Florida? Maybe, although they've lost to the only two decent teams they played- Syracuse and Florida State.
No team, other than Furd-ham is a total disaster, and because of pretty judicious scheduling, every team has a number of should win games left in the non-con, although not too many marquee games. UMass has Vandy, Temple has Villanova, St. Louis has DePaul, Richmond has VA. Tech, Charlotte plays at Maryland, and u dump, of course, plays nobody. Xavier, of course, is the flagship with a #5 SOS and still games with Butler, LSU, and Virginia that are OK on the RPI.
With the few high profile wins last weekend and hopefully no stupid losses to come, this league will look OK on paper in March.
