Gordon plainly says that too many guys had an issue with drugs.

I'm not a fan of Gordon making this admission.

It casts a shadow over the entire team last year (except for his friend DJ White). That's not fair.

That is not a pretty picture.

I wonder if this comes out before the decision was made on Crawford, would it have made a difference?

Gordon said Sampson "tried to stop it," but the coach "was just so focused on basketball and winning and everything."

Does everything consist of constantly hounding recruits after the end of the contact period??? :P

The NCAA was well aware of the allegations of drug use on the team. This isn't news to anyone that follows IU. The only slightly new tidbit is that Eric Gordon exonerated himself and DJ White (his best friend).

Even that isn't really ground-breaking news. Gordon and White were never rumored to be involved in a lot of the things going on with last year's IU team.

For those closer to the IU situation, was Crawford ever exhonerated? Or are there rumors swirling about him too?

I've never heard Crawford specifically mentioned. When he transferred, people pontificated that could have been a reason for doing so.

I haven't heard his name mentioned in that context either.

Sporting News reports current LA Clipper and former Indiana Hoosier Gordon states several players used drugs during the season last year. No real big info but Jordan Crawford did play for this team and may be one of the players he speaks of. Nice teammate. Takes the money and then squeals.
