UMass is up 3-2 on the Jayhawks with 37 minutes to go. Let's hope they can hold on to that lead.

I have a feeling Umass is going to get whooped. Derrick Kellogg can not coach, and Umass plays no defense.

Leading at the half. Could be a big day for the A-10. Duquesne/WV still out there today too (along with the Shootout of course).

UMass up 61-60 with 13 seconds left, KU ball. Low has missed his last three free throws. UMass not closing it out down the stretch.

UMass wins! 61-60. Great "d" at the end.

Congrats to UMass! This is shaping up to be one of the best A10 non-con. weeks in awhile.

Gutty win by UMASS. They outplayed Kansas the whole game and managed to pull it out by 1 at the end.

Pretty impressive considering they were 2-6 prior to the game. I watched them lose to Toledo a few weeks ago and their play has improved quite a bit.

Good for them and the A10.

Lowe has to be the worst 80% free throw shooter I've ever seen. He blew frees at the end of the Boston College game and he blew 3 out of 4 at the end of this game. UMass survived anyway. It is a good win for the league, but...

I am absolutely shocked at how bad the game coaching is anymore. Does Kellog have any offense at UMass besides just putting the ball in Lowe's hands, use up 30 seconds and then try to create off of the dribble? That isn't even "motion offense" it's "NO-tion offense". For the last 10 minutes of the game, that is all that UMass did.

And Calapari. Memphis is down by 4 with about 35 seconds to go and the ball. Dammit. Drive the ball to the hoop, score 2 and then foul making GTown make throws under pressure. Nope. Just let your guard jack up a long three that misses and then, game over.

For guys who are getting paid lots of jack to know the game and coach it, you would think that they would have an idea on how to run a few sets- especially at crunch time when teams are overplaying everything.

This is great news. A pretty good day for the A-10 today. Just wish Memphis could have pulled out a win today (since they are on our schedule, not because they are in the A-10).

Hmmmm....

Why can't Umass and Temple take care of the freaking cupcakes on their schedules!?!?!
