Make it 67-52 with 8:45 remaining. Dionte Christmas is a badass.

Dionte Christmas making a great case for A-10 player of the year right now. He is on fire, and seems to have put Temple on his back in the second half.

The kid is a stud, plain and simple. It's going to take a great defensive effort from our guys when we play them if we want to win that game. He can carry a team.

Christmas doesn't get a ton of rotation on the ball, but apparently just enough. What he does do, however, is put great arc on his shots.

Christmas is unreal. I hope the timeout didn't affect his heat check.

Hard to believe this team lost by 16 to Miami at home 10 days ago.

Did you hear them categorize the UofL game as "an upset brewing" just now? Really? The Cards are down by two with over three minutes left in the FIRST HALF!

As for the Temple/Tenn game, Chism should try using the glass on those threes like he did against us last year.

Well, we win tonight and we'll jump up in the rankings a bit as Tennessee is ranked 8th.

Temple is up by 20 with 4:00 left. BIG WIN for the A10 if they can hold on. (If they can't, they should probably forfeit the rest of the season.)

Christmas is ridiculous. 35 points! A10 POY material right there.

Also, Edward James Olmos looks pretty good as well.

Well, if Temple keeps playing like this, they will be very difficult to beat. Christmas honestly has unbelievable, and Olmos is actually proving that he could be an inside force.

I have not watched Tennessee this year but I am under the impression that they and the entire SEC is overrated this year. Tennessee was a better team last year, UK sucks, and Florida is really overrated.

I just think that Miami is a better team.

I am also not watching the game so maybe Temple is just playing better but as much as I like to sing the praises of SEC football, I also love to bash its basketball.

If he played on a better team in a Big 6 conference, he would be considered for NCAA Player of the Year (not named Tyler Hansbrough).

To not be in a big 6 conference and be considered for that you need to either have ridiculous stats every night or dominate in the NCAA tourney the year before to be put on the map ala Curry.

Wow! by 16. Good for the A10. Good for us. I don't think it called for the rushing of the court...but good stuff.

They rushed the court...big win, but I dunno if it was big enugh to rush: early season, non-rivalry. But hey, more power to them.

Just depends on your opinion of rushing the court. Because if there were a time for it I would say an unranked team beating the #8 team in the country would be it.

I'm not sure why either matters? Especially the early season part.

Agree with you. Plus, Temple has been there before. They have been to the Sweet 16 and historically a good program. Nessler said that Temple was 3-3 in their arena against top 10 teams. It is not like they are the little sisters of the poor who rarely play or beat a ranked team.

This reminds me of when Miami stormed the court two years ago. It was pathetic.

If we had beaten TN last year, I suspect Cintas would have been rushed. I'm just sayin'...

Ya, even this year if the Duke game was at home next Saturday and we win. Yeah, I think so.

I also completely disagree. I personally can't see the cintas floor ever being rushed. Unless we have a few rough decades and become irrelevant.

I mean the only reason I couldnt see it is because they dont allow it. Students will rush for even the slightest reason, dont kid yourself. TOns of Xavier fans rushed the court after the A10 Tourney championship win over Dayton the year of the RUN. So there is a history of it.

Our rushing in recent years:

Xavier rushed after knocking #1unbeaten St Joe's at UD in the A-10 Tourney...legit
Xavier rushed after beating UD to win the A-10: 4 games in 4 days at UD...legit
Xavier rushed after clinching the A-10 tourney against St Joe's, 4 games in 4 days downtown...legit

Nothing early season, all A-10 contenders, and only once was it a non-championship game.

Ya, I'm not arguing that. Some above stated that they dont think XU fans will ever rush unless we have been down and out for a while. I dont think it was bad that Temple rushed the court some do, its just a matter of opinion.

I feel like if we didn't storm the court after beating UC (weren't they #12 at the time?) in dramatic fashion when we were unranked the year of the run, it probably won't ever happen. I guess the true test would've been if the game in the Gardens when UC was #1 had been in Cintas.

I think that has more to do with the staff and the way the close off the court at Cintas than it does about fans wanting or not wanting to rush the floor.

Agreed. I didn't mean to imply that the students would never have a desire to storm the court. Just that there would probably never be enough desire to really make it happen.

I predicted a loss to Duke but if we win this Saturday I will rush the court from the upper deck, if only to be maybe on CBS. It will take me 25 mintes to make it to the court so I will probably be the only person there. I'll be wearing the baby blue shirt from last year, love it (I know most don't like the look, but I do, classy, mostly due to the block lettering). Hope I can get drunk enough for a 2pm tip but this has not been a problem in the past. Somebody set up a tailgat, plenty of room in the parking lot, if you are driving in brng a grill, I would be happy to bring beverages on the bus from The City. GO X!
