Michigan beats UCLA

By 3. Don't know if UCLA is not as good as everyone thought (see this and the Miami game) or if it's just their style catching up to them. They seem to let most teams hang around.

They are just not as good as people thought. People seem to have given Collison the title of America's best point guard, but I'm not sure he deserves it. Shipp has many off nights and their frontcourt is very weak.

They have no real inside presence right now. College may lean toward being a guards game, but you need to be able to score inside to win consistently. UCLA lacks the presence necessary to take the pressure off Collison, Holliday, and Shipp.

This was actually pretty easy to see coming. Michigan played very solid ball at the end of last year, and UCLA is still figuring things out. Don't be surprised to see Michigan stay right with, if not beat, the Dukies tonight.

I have watched a little of Michigan this year, and they seem like a decent team. Manny Harris is a pretty good player and I always liked Belein as a coach.

Are they actually good enough to make the tournament this year? I think they could in a pretty shallow Big Ten.
