So here's a question for some of our more traveled Musketeers... I was born abroad and lived in Europe during the mad cow scare. No organization has ever been willing to accept a donation from me based on the possibility of my having the disease (though it would explain quite a lot). Does anyone know of any way for me to give that will be acceptable to the standards of the CDC or whomever is blocking me?

Well I have heard of a little backdoor clinic downtown, but I really like both kidneys where they are. It may be worth considering though, because I'm not certain how much rhinoceros tranquilizer a doctor would have to inject into me to actually get them out before I ripped him limb from limb, but I bet it would be in their better interest to just take the damn blood and walk away in one piece.

Get a blood transfusion with fresh, clean, non mad cow having blood.

How about you just play it safe and not give blood? Your intentions are righteous but your sanity is questionable.

It matters WHERE you lived in Europe and for low LONG, not just that you were there. Hoxworth can run through the questions with you over the phone to decide whether or not you meet the criteria. Check it out, some things have changed in the last few years.

I used to donate blood every time possible, but they decided I couldn't anymore either because of mad cow. Oh well.
