Wow....I just checked out the last 8 minutes of the Cavs/Hornets game on channelsurfing. I get the NBA package free for the first week of the season even through Time Warner but the game was blacked out. When I got to channelsurfing, it was a tie game with 8 mins left in the 4th quarter. I saw James Posey pick Lebron like a big yellow booger and dunk. I watched DWest hit a jumper. I watched Posey hit a monster 3 in the corner. The foxsports Ohio guys were talking about how valuable Posey was to the Hornets, but never mentioned the Xavier connection. I watched West hit 4 free throws down the stretch.
I'm honestly thinking about getting the NBA pass this year to follow the Hornets...either that or watch the games free on channelsurfing. Not sure how that site is legal...but me loves it.
If the Hornets continue to have success, I'm looking forward to a little X connection love. Posey looks really good...West looks like West. God, I love it.
I'm officially a Hornets fan. Chris Paul makes the NBA game fun to watch...the fact that two X grads get to feed off it is all the better.
The 2008-2009 Hornets......Paul, Posey, West....on a mission for Prosser. I f'in love it.

I think the Hornets have a great shot at beating the Spurs this season in a playoff series, propelling them to the western conference finals.
But the Lakers look really, really solid. Kobe finally has a supporting cast (hmmm, the Cavaliers management still haven't provided one for Lebron...I wouldn't blame him if he left).

Paul -- 24 pts, 15 assists
West -- 25 pts, 5 boards
Posey -- 15 pts, 5 boards, 4 stls
Seriously, if this Hornets team plays to their potential, it can be a recruiting coup for X. Let Paul do his thing and let West and Posey do their thing...it can be a thing of beauty.
God bless Skip Prosser and Xavier...GO HORNETS!!!
Posey is like that guy who doesn't get picked first, second or third in a pickup game...but you get him fourth and you can't believe the other team didn't pick him up. He is Mr. Intangible. He is going to be huge for the Hornets this year.

I agree Guy....the western conference is strong again this year...but I think it comes down to the Hornets and Lakers. Ultimately, it could come down to Posey guarding Kobe. But like I said, if the Hornets get that far and it comes down to Kobe, Bynom, Gasol, Paul, West and Posey, its nothing but good pub for X.

Definitely.
Yeah, it's mind boggling to think that two out three of the best players in a potential NBA championship team came from X.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Dayton could say the same.

I grew up in Cleveland and have been a Cavs fan all my life, but I could not help but chear for the Hornets last night with Posey, DWest, and CP3. They are going to be great this season. I bet Skip would have loved to see those guys play together.

It was awesome last night. DWest had 25, Pose 15 with big 3's.
Actually, Fred McLeod, the Cavs TV announcer, early in the game, made the Xavier connection. When D West got an early second foul, Pose subbed in for him. McLeod said: "One Musketeer is replaced by another Musketeer. Tyrone Hill must be watching somewhere."
Hell, the Hornets are the A-10's signature team. Two Xavier guys, Mike James from Dookcane and Rasual Butler from Lossalle. Not only that, Terry Kofler, a Xavier graduate and former XU trainer, is the Hornets head trainer.
The Hornets are fun to watch and about the only team in the league, other than the Cavs that I'll actually make time to tune in to.
And with this message, I have achieved the coveted 800 post mark. Do I get an award or something?

AHHH, no.
I'll respectfully decline any political debates with anyone here. I have enough up here in the CSS- Cuyahoga Socialist State.
Things are good Vee. Hopefully, I'll see you in Cintas on the 17th.

Of course if you look at the Hornets Roster on ESPN.com you'd never know that the Hornets have multiple Xavier alums in West & Posey. They do not list the College for them. Another sign that ESPN tries to keep Xavier down.

I love that site too but was recently introduced to another site that even has the NFL games! I found out about the site on Wednesday so I havent seen the NFL games but was told they do have them. Also when I was watching the site the WS game was on so I decided to watch it on the tv and on my computer to see what sort of delay I was working with and it was amazing because the computer had ZERO delay. They were going at the exact same time word for word. The sit is called stoogetv.com and when you click on one of the channels it sometimes asks for a password, and that password is stoogetv.com
