Where do people watch Xavier games in Chicago? What is the crowd like where you watch it? Is there readily available seating wherever you watch it?

Some watch games at O'Callaghan's or right down the street at Mother Hubbard's. But some of the people that live in Wrigleyville/Lincoln Park-area (more recent grads, I assume) go to some place around Lincoln Park. Being a resident of the suburbs and daily Metra commuter I stay closer to O'Callaghans/Hubbard's, especially for games during the week.
Can't give you an idea of the crowds, it's usually hit or miss but they'll always put the game on at Mother Hubbard's.

I believe O'Callahan's is owned by a Xavier grad, correct? Where is Billy or AmericanX when you need them?

O'Callaghan's is owned by a Xavier grad. They are good at getting the "big" games, but I would not say they are accommodating for most of the games.

Merkles goes out of their way for us.

This is true. Mr. O'Callaghan is a great supporter of Xavier, buy his bar is neither a great place to watch games nor do they handle it well. I took issue with their hosting the Xavier-Illinois post-game reception.

If you are on the north side, Merkle's in Wrigleyville.

If you are closer to downtown, Mother Hubbard's in River North. They are very accommodating to Xavier fans, plus good eats and drinks.
