I think the first video is definitely dirty. It isn't common for what looks to be a linebacker to take out the kicker like a heat seeking missile on a kickoff. It was obvious in it's intention.

the second video is just pure Appalachian stupidity. No one ever claimed that those mountain folk were smart.

I don't think the first one is dirty, its become an accepted part of football. I kicked in high school and if you don't expect that on every kick (your coaches should have at least warned you on the first day of practice), that's your fault. Our coaches didn't let our kickers be the last guy back for a few reasons. First, it helped to prevent this type of thing. Second, it allowed a linebacker or safety to be the last line of defense. And third, it allowed me to get a few nice blindside hits on guys to repay the favor for all of those kickers out there (I had a few tackles myself too).

Also, he is a quarterback and should be used to taking a hit.

Lastly, the guy who hits him is offsides by about a half step as he runs towards him. Now that's cheating and dirty.

I have to agree with PPF. I kicked as well, and you need to have your head on a swivel. Generally, you kick off and then play safety. Many teams have a guy designated to take out the safety, so you have to know he is coming. The worst part about being taken down is that the guys will try to stay on top of you so you can't get back up. Being pinned on the ground by another dude is a worse feeling than being creamed on a block.

The one thing that I did notice by stopping the video is that the creamer is offsides on the play. He is clearly less than 10 yards off of the ball when it is kicked, and a personal foul could be called because the kicker didn't have time to set himself after the kick. That still doesn't constitute dirty football.
