My employer bought these for our use a few weeks ago. Really really nice unit. For those that also have, any recommendations for game (or other) apps? Preferrably of the FREE variety, but whatever.

Spend the $10 on super monkey ball.

Seriously. It's awesome.

Baseball is pretty much over, but the MLB app is my favorite.

Yelp is a pretty nice app if you travel much. Has reviews of restaurants, bars, and just about all sorts of retail stuff in every city. Maps everything out for you too, so you can see how far it is from your hotel.

Yelp for sure...not much of a gamer, but my son loves the bowling game.

Also would recommend the Bloomberg app if you're into stocks and Sportstap for scores. ALl should be free.

I would like to add Midomi and Pandora as absolute musts. Both are FREE.

Midomi is an application where you can hold the phone up to a speaker, and it will tell you what song it is and give you the option to buy it. There's another program out there that does the same thing, but midomi goes a step further. You can also sing OR HUM into the phone, and it will tell you the song and give you the option to buy. Every time I have tried this, it has told me the correct song, and believe me I can't carry a tune.

Also, pandora is almost like a customized radio station. Here's how it works. This morning, I wanted to listen to some oldies, so I typed in "The Hollies". It then played a song by the Hollies to start. Next it plays songs within the same genre that it thinks you will like. When a new song comes on, you can click a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down", and it automatically adjusts to try to find your ideal customized genre. Songs continue to play, and after about 5 songs, every song is now exactly what I've been looking for.

... and the "cannon game"

I think I found the same game. Loved it, but unfortunately very easy to beat. I think it took about half an hour.

I agree Waggy. I just broke down and paid $9.99 for the soccer game but it is well worth it.

I finally got the iphone. It's amazing how much time this little thing can waste.

It looks like midomi is a paid app now.

My favorite app so far is "wobble".

I have yet to pay for an app, so all of these recommendations are free ones:

Shazam (can listen to and identify the title and artist (and sometimes more) of a song playing within "hearing" range. It works almost every time and even with obscure songs. Incredible. Often you can see the lyrics to the song, as well.

PokerTimer: a must have if you are hosting (or attending) a Hold 'em tournament with blinds that increase in timely increments. You can set the timer, the blind amounts, etc. It counts down for you. Fantastic.

Other favorites: facebook, iHandy Level (a digital level), TWSS, and Atomic Fart.

I paid the $1.99 for wobble, and I've already gotten way more enjoyment out of it than most things I pay $1.99 for.

Good to know about the poker timer. That's always an issue at the home game.

Try iFishing. The Lite version was free last I checked. The sucker vibrates every time you 'catch' a fish. My score is terrible because I freak out when it buzzes and end up 'breaking the line.'

Bubble wrap is surprisingly addictive and I think it's free too.

Cinci's own woxy.com is finally on the iPhone. It's a free app for right now but requires 3.0 OS.
