If you watch the highlights make sre you catch singletary's rant on Vernon Davis. He might be the guy to turn the 49ers around.

I loved it. What good does it do to keep around people that don't buy into the team concept, and can't do their job? If Marvin Lewis had the stones to do something like that, the Bengals would field 14 players by the end of some of their games.

Marvin would send them to the locker room and then Mike Brown would send them back to the field for a "second chance".

I believe they only do that with coaches who are no longer employed in the league. So if the 49ers decide not to keep him and no one else picks him up, which seems unlikely, then we will see it asap.

As the defensive coordinator, but I dont know all the workings of what happens when a coach takes over on an interim basis.
