That's your final from Withrow HS stadium.
The weather was great, skies were Musketeer blue, the concessions were tasty (and how often do you get RC, really), and the mini helmets at the Souvenir Table look wonderful. I picked up an order form for a mini helmet - drop it in the mail this monday.
The gory details:
On the first play of the game - we throw a long pass that is run in for a long touchdown, crowd goes nuts, EPA is blocked: Score 6-0 (good guys)
Not that much later in the first, The Redskins (Redhawks) call our touchdown and raise us an EPA: Score 6-7 (bad guys)
Then in the second quarter - we ran in another touchdown, but again missed the EPA: Score 12-7 (good guys)
Halftime: The usual short performance by the Dance Team, and I mean short! But the cheerleading ws cranked up to 11 for about the entire game!
Third Quarter: We had waht looked like a touchdown waved off (boo hiss), and got the ball 2nd and Goal about 2 inches from the goal line, don't worry they made it. Then instead of trying another EPA, they successfully completed the 2 point Conversion. Score 20-7 (Good Guys)
That was it for scoring, but it seemed like play was starting to get sloppy in the second half of the fourth quarter as flags were being thrown on almost every play.
I'm sure Nick will be around with a far more detailed report...
