Oh how sweet it is! Only thing that would make this sweeter is if the Reds were in the playoffs (man that's depressing). So...for now I will root against the NL Central, rooting for the Cubs is like watching two gays going at it on the Vatican lawn, its just plain wrong. Lets just hope the Dodgers hang on tonight or I will be eating crow.

As fun as it may be to watch the Cubs go down, it would be even more fun to see them choke away a Game 5 or Game 7 in a subsequent series. Being swept out isn't nearly as much fun as it was watching them go down in 2003 along with the Red Sox.

11 outs left. So far, they're going down with a whimper.

Now or never for the Cubs it seems. Soriano has to get it done with two on and one out down three.

no crow..that is good. It would have been nice to see them lose at home though in front of all the Cubbie faithful. Maybe next year Cubs fans.

Look on the bright side.
It lets the Wrigley Field ground crew do early prep for Ice Bowl 2009!

well lets see My Cubs have atleast been to the playoffs 4 times since 1998...how many times have the Redss been in that same period....I know my Cubs haven't won the WS since 1908, but they are fielding a competitive team that atleast gets the fans excited and making the playoffs....and the Reds...well I hear now from Reds fans, give it 3 years then....So may all you Cub haters suck that shit....

Hmm... a thread where one professional team's fans declare that their e-peen is bigger than that of another professional team's fans.
Awesome.

Being an Indians fan, the only thing between me and rooting for the team that has gone the longest without winning a World Series is the Flubs. Oh and Jose Mesa in Game 7 of the 1995 World Series.
