Who is the worst owner: Al Davis or Mike Brown?

I think there is a tie Mike Brown and the Cardinals owner.

Al Davis. And it's not close.

At least in Al Davis's deranged mind, he thinks he's doing something to better the team. Mike Brown just doesn't give a F*#K.

I don't consider Al Davis the worst owner because he is five years removed from a superbowl PERIOD. Oh, he has won superbowls in his tenure as well. Mike Brown and the Cardinals owner have been to one playoff game and lost.

Has the Bills owner been the same owner since their run of Super Bowl runner-up finishes?
Either way, he is pretty bad because he now has to play games in Toronto.

Al Davis is not so much a bad owner as he is a senile one. He is old and it is showing. I chalk up the last few years to him just being a crazy old cook.

Mike Brown is the worst. He has never had success (2005 does not count) and it does not look promising.

Jerry Jones. Just because he is associated with the Cowboys. If you can't tell i am a Redskins so Jerry is always the worst. With that said, i would have to go with Al Davis for this current period and Mike Brown for the overall duration.

I don't think the Cardinals are being run by Bill Bidwell anymore. His son is in charge now.

The Colts were really bad under Irsay. Then he died and his son took over and looked what happened.

So who knows? Maybe Katie Brown will be a good owner some day. But don't hold your breathe.

I am going with Al Davis for his Oakland to LA to Oakland move if for nothing else.

He did manage to win a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Browns, though.

You really know how to piss me off, don't you?

Fat Tony Siragusa sits on Rich Gannon and Fat Art Modell wins a title for his fatness.

Big East football sucks.

That is a funny analysis about the Ravens SuperBowl win.
I could have used that for ammo in the first week.
I was down in Baltimore for the Bengals game DC, and all we were saying was you better get down on your knees and thank the city of Cleveland for football (not that Cleveland ever wanted to get rid of football). Say a prayer right now. They were pretty pissed to say the least. I enjoyed it dearly though.
Then they would go on about Johnny Unitus. blah blah blah
I hate the Ravens and Steelers.

Johnny Unitus couldn't hold Otto Graham's jock. And all of his records are in Indianapolis.

At least with Al Davis he cares about winning. The Raiders have been to a Super Bowl every decade for at least the last 5 decades.

On another note, with Katie Blackburn next in line, does anyone know what she currently does? Does she run anything? There is a perception on talks sports radio that perhaps Mikey Boy gave her and Marvin some additional leeway, but then took it back because he didn't like the direction.

Obviously, there's no way to validate this...but what the hell does she do? How can you run an organization and never hear a word from anyone in the organization besides the coach?

Art Modell.

What he said.

Even after Modell moved and got his millions from Maryland, he still screwed it up, almost went bankrupt again, and had to sell out to Biscotti. Some businessman.

Being the egomaniac that he was, he would never hire a general manager in Cleveland. The best years the Browns had, after the 1960's with the remnants of Paul Brown's team, were in the late 1980's when Modell was sick and had to step away from daily active management of the team. Ernie Accorsi was basically in charge and made all of the big moves. As soon as Modell regained his physical health (mentally he remained sick) he fired Accorsi (oh, that's right, Accorsi "resigned") he took the team back over and messed it up again.

Say what you will about Mike Brown, but Mike Brown makes money in a business where you have to be Art Modell not to make money. I wonder if David still has a share of the team.

As a reminder, everyone here is invited to my "Art Modell is Dead" party. Should be about a week after it actually happens. It will be a pig roast. Cake will be served. Now we only need Art to do his job and we can have some fun. But like always, Art will probably screw it up and live until he's 206.

Hell, no. Steve Biscotti was insistent that he get 100% of the team. David is long gone, probably back to cultivating his coke habit.

BTW. David Modell is one of the biggest a-holes I have ever had the unfortunate requirement to meet. Back in the early 1990's we were significant advertisers on Browns broadcasts and David was the alleged "Director of Marketing". It was obviously a job that his father didn't think he could screw up. He did.

D Modell's attitude was that we, as advertisers, should feel privileged that we were being granted the opportunity to advertise with their NFL franchise. Forget the fact that we were pouring big bucks into their bottomless pit of incompetence. There was never a word of thanks, just "How much more will you pay us this year? You do know that we really don't need you, don't you?"

Some schmoozer.

I don't know. But the Enquirer had a hard hitting article about Katie a few years ago and said that she can throw a football 30 yards. And her Dad calls her "Pumpkin".

So she's got that going for her.

I believe Katie is in charge of negotiating the contracts.
