Seems they are gearing up with some transfers.

1)Former University of Missouri guard Keon Lawrence (Rivals 2006 ranking of 101)has transferred to Seton Hall University, Pirates head coach Bobby Gonzalez announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-2 Lawrence will not be eligible to play this season, as per NCAA transfer rules, but will have junior playing eligibility in 2009-10 upon his return.

Last season at Mizzou, the 175-pound guard played in all 32 games, averaging a team-high 29.2 minutes per game. He averaged 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while making 20 starts, including a 25-point performance at Kansas.

2)In other Seton Hall news, Herb Pope, (Rivals 2007 ranking of 31st)a 6-foot-8 transfer from New Mexico State, was on campus Tuesday registering for classes, according to a source close to the program.

3) Robert Mitchell, who will be eligible at Seton Hall after transferring from Duquesne.
He was the A-10 Freshman of the year last year.

Sounds like they are running a pretty shady operation bringing in all these transfers for only a couple years. I wonder how many guys they had to force out of scholarships to find spots for these guys. What a crappy way to build a team.

Please don't start that again. Maybe Billy won't see this thread.

Evans also coached Robert “Stix” Mitchell, who will be eligible at Seton Hall after transferring from Duquesne.

“He can just flat out shoot it,” Evans said. “He’s a very confident player. He was the A-10 Freshman of the year last year. He was always very confident in his ability.”
