Pittsburgh's Cook Loses Appeal

PITTSBURGH -- The NCAA has rejected Pittsburgh forward Mike Cook's request for an extra year of eligibility.

The school appealed to the NCAA after Cook's senior season ended with a knee injury. Cook played in 11 games before the injury Dec. 20 against Duke.



Hope the best for the kid, hopefully he can rehab it this year and get in playing shape for Europe or the NBA draft next year

I like DeCourcy's take on this.

The NCAA counts the tourneyment that Pitt played in as two games, however they take all four games of the tourneyment and count them against Cook.
