I know some do not get into recruiting that much, but I follow it rather closely and according to Rivals.com we could be getting close to decisions with Ari Stewart, Kevin Parrom, and Chris Braswell. I am very excited and think if Xavier can get any of these three it will be a huge get!

I think our best bet out of these three is Ari. Parrom decision seems to be based on what Omari does. I do not know much about Braswell except that Rivals and Scouts both don’t list Xavier a team of interest. DoubleD86, I haven’t been able to follow much of Xavier’s recruiting this summer but I did see 2010 SF Justin Martin play and I think he is going to be one heck of a player in college. I am not sure if you know anything about Xavier recruitment of him but I think he will be a very special player in college.

DoubleD86...you gotta stop sharing premium site info. Snow works too hard to have this passed on for free. I know this isn't a horrible example of it, but I see way too much of it on this board.

It's not like it's a secret that the main X targets will likely make their decisions prior to the start of the new school year, just like most recruits.

The X fan base has been good to Snow. I'm a member there, as are a bunch of others that post here. The posters here have been pretty good about respecting Snows content.

I agree with 99. The specific info above was posted on the rivals premium board this morning. It's got no place on this board today. If you feel like you need to divulge what Brian Snow says on the premium site, do it in an email, don't post it here.

I'm not trying to be difficult. But it's not the type of attention we want brought to this site.

DoubleD didn't post anything that someone couldn't find out on their own with a little searching.

As Waggy said, everyone knows that Stewart and Parrom are probably Xavier's top 2 prospects for '09 and it has long been known that they woudl decide after the AAU season ended.

I agree people shouldn't post quotes or any content from premium articles. Snow is one of the best guy's Rivals has and he does a great job covering Xavier.

Now, how great would a committment be from Stewart this month? He would be the perfect replacement for Brown, should he leave after this coming year.

If not Stewart, Parrom or Braswell or the Russian kid would be excellent pickups.

But he didn't do a little of his own research. He states he got it straight off of rivals. That's the hang up.

Everyone knows that Ari and Parrom are the top two targets for X, no doubt about it. I have noticed a good amount of premium site "rumors and info" leak onto this site more often than it had in the past. This is a detriment to the hard work of Snow and him doing a great job in keeping us on the "outside" updated and people joining Rivals to enjoy the content. Everyone likes to be the bearer of good news but sharing information that is supposed to stay within boundaries is something that I'm sure isn't appreciated...

 I doubt anyone could develop even a small list of content brought from Rivals to here. It's simply not happening in any significant way. It's completely natural for individuals that visit and/or post at both boards to carry small amounts of information back and forth inadvertently. And I don't really see the problem with the occassional reference to Rivals.

Wow...didn't we just give Rivals and Snow a bunch of free advertising.

The only problem is if we quote stuff from Snow's material. I'm a member over there, and I can tell you the stuff on here for the most part is fine by me.

If we can't reference information about recruiting from rivals here, then I suggest we don't have this section. It's August, we've heavily recruited two guys and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that sooner , rather then later, we should expect a decision by these kids.

You can reference anything you want from rivals that isn't part of the pay portion in my opinion. It's like opening pandora's box.

I think since the thread title ended in a question mark, it's ok. It makes it seem more speculative, than conclusive.

Example: "Recruiting news coming soon????" (*gasp*) whatever could he be talking about??? who?? OR
"Recruiting news coming soon!!!" oh, god! here it comes!!! this guy knows something!

Oh, it's a slow summer day.

Well, I know one person who may not be happy if we get a verbal from Kyryl Natyazhko. That person would be the Xavier's announcer. Cant see him being happy trying to say his name.

Basket by #33 Kyryl Natyazhko, Natyazhko for Xavier.

I typically try to keep Rivals info on the Rivals board unless it indicates that it is open to whomever. There are many examples of things I've found on Rivals and ended up posting here after doing some homework.

In the case of Jordan Williams which I found on Rivals first, I did do a little digging and found it on Zagsblog and thus posted it here. Sometimes I'll find info from the NCAA headquarters on Rivals first and go to the AP in Indianapolis to find and post here.

It's a simple matter of respect.

Kyxu nailed it. It was a speculative remark. I posted nothing that would be a detriment to Snow. I understand that the info on Rivals that is for customers should stay there. I know of no information on who could be committing where, just that decisions could be coming and I am excited about that.

I don't understand why everyone got all up in a roar. Nothing in my post could possibly be mistaken for "insider info" it just says that soon we could find something out.
