Just received notice that I "won" the ticket lottery, or whatever it is called, that was discussed on this board earlier. Did anyone else receive notification?

If X gets in the tourney, what are the chances they will be placed in Dayton for rounds 1 & 2?

There are so many intangible in your question that can't be figured out yet, that really answering whether X would be placed in dayton can't really be said yet.

But they do try to keep teams close to home if they can.

I would think the chances of them playing in dayton hinge on the type of year they have. If they back into the NCAA's and are lucky to get a bid, they typically get shipped somewhere outside the area.

If they roll through their schedule, wipe up the A-10, and claim yet another tourney championship in typical Xavier fashion--they will stand a very good chance of playing their games on our northern campus, or Xavier's dayton arena.

On one hand, the NCAA lets Dook and the Powder Blue Pansies play in Charlotte and Greenville, so similarly, X should be permitted to play at ud. But then Dook and the Pansies are always coddled. Conversely, ud is in the same conference as X, but I am not sure that has anything to do with anything. I'd love to see it. One thing is for sure, if X does ever play a tourney game in dayton the ud faithful in attendance will be wearing those obnoxious red tee's.

Did anyone else enter the lottery, and if so, did anyone "win"? The email states that tickets will be received by mid-February, which, I suppose, means I won't know my seats until that time. Hopefully there will be enough local interest (XU, OSU, UK, Louisville, etc - am I forgetting anyone up in that area...no, I don't think so) that it sells out. That way, if X plays Dayton we'll have a great crowd, and if they don't, I can get rid of the tickets for face value.

Well duh....can you think of any other reason why UD fans would be at an NCAA game. It wouldn't be because UD would be in an NCAA tourney game.
