Castroneves takes pole for tomorrows race: http://www.indycar.com/news/?story_id=12053
Also, I guess there was some sort of argument between Danica and Milka Duno after todays morning practice. I like the first response that it be settled with a wet t-shirt contest: http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080719/SPORTS/80719008/1004/sports
Marco has nothing but bad luck. He looked good until he went under Wilson's car.

Pretty decent race. Way better than WG a few weeks back.

Still way too many full course yellows.

True... although they at least remembered they had local yellows available this race. At WG they acted as if they had never heard of one.

Part of this problem isn't race control but the drivers having too many incidents. Can you imagine an F1 race with this many incidents? I can't.

Didn't you go '95? Did you camp over Saturday? How were the grounds after the rain?
We didn't camp. We drove up on Sunday. I have never been to a road course race before and it was pretty interesting.
A couple items to note, they started this race with the road still wet. I don't remember ever seeing that before. It was interesting to see them making early pits to take off the rain tires. Also, I was unaware that Mid-Ohio has a two hour race time maximum. Is it the only course that does that?
I will try to talk my wife into camping next year. She isn't a big fan of that.

Road courses can be run with a wet track and most are timed at two hours (mostly for tv coverage).
According to the paper this morning both Kentucky and Mid-Ohio will be on the IRL circuit next season. Kentucky the first week in August (up one week from normal) and Mid-Ohio the second week in August (down three weeks from normal).
I don't know if I can handle two IRL weekends, but I am sure going to try.
