Okay, In the spirit of good sportsmanship, community gathering, religious bonding let us just try to be nice to our breathren A10 partners and just say something nice about their school and their program.

For one week or at least for one post, just give it a try.

Fifth Third Park is a fine venue for Class A Minor League Baseball.

The Dayton Airport has occasionally provided members of our family with the cheapest flights at the least inconvenience.

I've run out of good stuff to say about the current Dayton, Ohio, except to say that AdamtheFlyer and a couple of other UD posters are sometimes quite reasonable and objective in their takes..

I like that your arena also sells beer for the games.

Despite the significant number of Detroit guys at Xavier, there will NEVER be a "Be nice to Detroit" thread here.

The Pine Club is a swell place to celebrate after a win.

NCR cash registers are the best.

"Take away Xavier from ud's schedule and the flyers don't have any highly regarded teams of National prominence on the schedule." [/B] Slam! Even the dayton sports talk hosts recognize that X is a major program.

hahahaha, that's not saying a whole lot. although i still maintain there were a lot of girls in the cute/pretty range. but literally no hot girls. Not that i could get with a hot girl, but for crying out loud, just give me some damn eye candy.

I guess it still boils down to the fact that i went to a coed high school with not even 600 kids and there were still more hot girls there than at X. I still have yet to get over that.

Oh, and as for a nice thing to say about Dayton, um, it gave us Romain Sato and Derrick Brown, so thanks for that!

I think the best part of Dayton is the golf. NCR South and Moraine to be specific. Woked at both off and on growing up and in college. Spent many a Monday getting eaten alive by those monsters. Dayton CC is great, too.

CCN is beautiful, but not very difficult. Some fun muni's in the area, too.

That's because dayton sucks so bad the balls get suctioned down the holes.............oops, I'm sorry, nice...........my older brother went to dayton for 5 years, giving me my own room. I am not making this up, he is 43 and still lives in my parent's basement. At least he finally cut his mullet about 4 months ago.

Has it been a week yet, or do we have to continue to be nice to dayton? I ask because I was cursing that shitty town today as I drove through on my way to Sidney. They have that malfunction junction area where Rt 4 intersects with 75 all torn up. It took an extra 30 minutes at lunch time to get through that area today.

F**k that town. I had to smell the funk of a mid summer's day in dayton for far too long today. I am abstaining from speaking positive about that place for the forseeable future.

I went to Denver the last two days on business and flew out of Dayton. Last night and Wednesday morning when I was driving through the shit smell was so bad from that area where the factory is with the little pond out front. I have no idea what they make there but the smell is horrid. I thought it was perfect last night when driving home that I first smelled it right as I was passing UD Arena.

That smell isn't the lake or the factory, 95. It is the stench coming from the arena and the basketball program housed within.

When I drive through dayton I can hold my breath from one side of the town to the other all the way through.

I believe that is their waste treatment facility. Essentially they are processing what Daytonians make.

I've always wondered why they'd let that stench be the first thing people encounter when visiting the city from the South. You'd think they'd want to make a better first impression. Maybe if you start with low expectations the rest of the place doesn't seem that bad.

I know Y-town. Y-town is an old friend of mine. And dayton, you are no Y-town.

Seriously, for all of Y-town's flaws (and there are many) they have a most beautiful park called Mill Creek Park in the center of town. It is the second largerst urban park next to Central Park. That alone puts it ahead of dayton.

As for saying something good about dayton, never.

I met a woman on the train from Grand Central Station to Conn. Found out she had lived in Cincinnati area, then found out she was a UD grad. I was civil, she wasn't incredibly ugly, no blood was spilled.
