I was thinking about everyone's User Names and how they must probably have some kind of reference to the type of person that they are, either in appearance or actions. Some are obvious to figure out and some are not. I'm sure I've missed some so feel free to add.

Boozehound - A person who looks like a hound dog and always looking for booze

Golfitup - a non creative golffer

Muskie - The big fish in the small pond of life.

Xeus - Isn't he the Greek God who whored it up with his mother and sisters. Expect to see him on the Jerry Springer show sometime soon.

BlueGuy - Can't get a date and when he does gets left at the door

Fred Garvin - Male Prostitute, say no more

Pickledpigsfeet - must be a butcher of some sort

Masterofreality - No one else would give him this name so he gave it to himself. Thinks a bit highly of himself.

Atl Muskie - Lives in a dump in Atlanta where land fisherman are trying to catch him

Tardy Turtle - Slow, even for a turtle standards

xuab - Never grasp the concept of the alphabet?

PM Thor - Wasn't he the God who threw down lightning bolts when he didn't get his way. Now he puts out the fires.

GuyFawkes - This guy reads too much.

Jumpy - Too many drugs or not enough drugs, I'm not sure.

Stonebreaker - I wouldn't want to mess with this guy.

xubrew - Boozehounds long lost twin brother from another mother

Snipe - a non-existent form of human being

Smails - A golfer, not very good, but the hat looks good on you and pulls out the BillyBaRoo when needed.

XU0507 - Slow learner or can't make up his mind

Nuts4xu - Has his hands in his pockets way too much while watching a Xavier basketball game.

American X - Thinks he's some kind of super hero.

xu95 - Fo Schizzle? nough said

Muskienick - A great American, a great Xavier Fan, a great person of culture, a great individual to all human kind. If he was taken by aliens he would represent well.

Aviator X - Must be a Sycamore grad. or someone who flies.

The Artist - Women want him, men want to BE him.

Sylvester - The Sly one.

Waggy - Gets alot of tail.

Kahns Krazy - Enjoyed the weiner gun a little too much.

Blobfan - Sorry in advance. Reminds me of when a whale sperms.....it goes Blaaaaaah.

Smooth - The anti-smooth.

Adam the Flyer - Kamikaze poster on an XU board.

DC Muskie - Someone who unveiled Madxster's Kryptonite.

XU Glow - Does kniky stuff with glow in the dark paint. Also the Avatar King.

Juice - Someone who posts here while looking for his wife's killer on the golf course.

Vee4XU - German foreign exchange student who is an enabler to MOR.

_LH - Lettuce Head?? Really

XURunner85 - No idea.

Cheesehead - Def Wisconsin issues...maybe Lettuce Heads brother.

Cheese - Cheesehead's alter ego.

BBC 08 - Bourbon Brew Crew ....passes out after 8 drinks.

xudash - exploits from running from Chief Couch's cronies.

mlcspinner - ????

Pretty good. Although, I must say, My screen name does nothing to describe myself personally. In person, I'm a very calm, deliberate person. The origin of my moniker comes from my favorite Bengal: robert Gaethers, who inherited his nickname from his uncle, who played DL in the NFL.

I do like the analysis of GuyFawkes, Thor, XU0507 and Nuts, though. they made me lol.

Thanks for the thought, MADXSTER!

Perhaps I got the nod because of my eclectic taste in music; my 4,276 suggestions for either a new version of the A-10 or a brand new Conference for the Muskies; my additions to the Adult "conversations" on our revered Pablo's old board; and my constant call for improved governance of our great Nation.

Or maybe it's just because I'm so well liked by Snipe and xu95!

Kahns Krazy
06-26-2008, 12:27 PM
I adopted Kahns Krazy after a series of screen names got banned on the old board due to a minor meltdown on my end. (Dusty Balls, which was actually stolen from an old voy board post, I think.)

There was a short period where I was impersonating an actual Kahns Crazy. This was helped substantially by someone requesting that I shoot a tshirt up to section 201 at the next game. As luck would have it, the actual Kahns Crazy fired one directly into 201 the next game.

That sort of got me back on the board, and I've been Kahns since.

C'mon man, get right with history.

A) Check out this record album cover:

http://images.windowsmedia.com/cover/200/drf800/f802/f80257mbd38.jpg

That is the cover of Black Sabbath's 1971 album Master of Reality. The stuff from that record was played in every Xavier dorm room at that time- and in the pool room at the University Center. It is a classic and one of my favorites of all time. The coughing at the start of Sweet Leaf is the best song intro ever.

B) I have had this moniker from day one on the very first Xavier messageboard- I believe that it was Snipe's Voy Board, then Mr. Neutral's board. For you later arrivals, those boards were real smackfests with delusional UC characters like Bearchatter all over them. Not only that, there were also the constant Nattering Nabobs of Negativism who could not see the positives of any coach, player or game. It was my opinion that there was a severe need for reality.

As such, combining the incredible name of a superb Black Sabbath album with the need for a "shock value" message board moniker to combat the myopians is how this name came about.

Creative? I think so. Pompous? I think not.

Jeezuz. Can't some of you understand sarcastic wit?

_LH
06-27-2008, 11:10 AM
_LH would simply be LH if not for the requirement for a minimum of three spaces per user name. LH is short for Lettuce Head which I used for my first post 10 or so years ago on Snipe's old board. Responses to my post were addressed to LH so I just used that going forward.

Lettuce Head is a Kids in the Hall character.

ATL Muskie

My screen name is a tribute to everyone's favorite ladies' man, DC Muskie. He was DC Muskie, then moved to Baltimore and became BC Muskie (Baltimore Co.) until the bad press from the dead hookers died down, and then back to DC. Through all that moving, he still never got laid.

muskienick
06-27-2008, 04:07 PM
Some of us got into the habit decades ago not to think too much, Thor.

My name is Nick and I've been a Muskie longer than most of you have been alive.

Furthermore, I am sufficiently lazy that I decided to skip using the shift key and keep all the letters of my username in small case letters. My laziness was thwarted on one of the earlier boards. I was originally "xunick." However, a late-coming interloper who posted even more drivel than I, adopted that moniker as well. To avoid confusion, I changed to "muskienick," although it requires four $#*% additional keystrokes!

Wrong show. That was from a show called "The State" which had a few members from the Reno 911 crew on it, as well as the guy who does all of the VH1, "I Love The 70's, 80's, 90's" shows.

So, your actual statement is more like "Not blowing up Parliment is greater than not ending world hunger", but didn't those people that didn't end world hunger also not blow up Parliment and vice versa.

Smails
07-01-2008, 03:08 PM
I picked Smails for a couple reasons...
1) endless quoting of the movie by most white males I have ever met
2) Ted Knight's character in that movie is freaking priceless

3) I come from a working class family who never had much cash. My father (XU Grad and football player), who is/was a pretty damn good golfer always used to rail against "clubbies" when we were younger. Once I got out of school and started making some decent scratch I joined Wetherington C.C. My dad started referring to me as Judge Smails as a dig, although he never turns down an invite to play with me there. He now refers to me as a 'clubbie' but it doesn't bother me b/c I took $45 from him last week at my Bushwood. Reap it pops!!

I find myself wondering what the coaches' and players' usernames are. I mention this because I saw a freshman women's basketball player whose license plate read DIBALLIN and just felt like they really are more subtle than that, right? I mean I'm sure that they've only got a name and probably have a grand total of 12 posts because they're just here to lurk, but what would their names be?

Sean Miller - DamnRightMoreGuards
Derrick Brown - Number1in2010
Kenny Frease - ThatsMrFrease2U
Brad Redford - EnolaGay (History geeks will love that one)
Adrion Graves - BestKeptSecret
Andrew Taylor - YoureWelcomeXU
BJ Raymond - LemmeSeeYerWarface
Brian Walsh - ICanShootToo
and finally
Mario Mercurio - WheresMyGel
