I'm an OU alum who's happy to see him go. I just wish he had found something sooner, so the school would have more time to try and replace him. Next season was the last on his contract and it didn't seem he'd be back. He was in job search mode for the past 9 months.
O'Shea was one of the most incompetent coaches I've ever seen. He ran little to no offensive plays and just counted on athletes to go for it. That can't happen in the MAC (nor anywhere else really.) The year they made the run to the tournament was lucky and even he didn't see it coming.
I'm sure he's just happy to know he has a job at a school that's probably ecstatic to have a coach with D1 experience.

My son tells me that he's going to get a basketabll schollie. He doesn't play for his high school team nor any AAU team. So I asked how is this going to happen. He says he going to get a schollie and play for the University of Phoenix. He said he can play online and beat just about anyone. So I guess he's got that going for him.
